Good Morning! A busy week at Dreamer’s after a holiday season that was totally overfilled with fun.The first Monday of the new year is a fantastic way to kick off 2025. Enjoy your week! We have a bunch of fun groups out this week, so don’t forget your Lunch and pull up a bench inside - and fill that cup with lots of love from an adorable animal or a new BFF who’s super stoked you showed up! And, of course, we always have cookies - because priorities! Hope to see you.

Happy New Year! We are thrilled to embark on 2025 and eagerly anticipate welcoming numerous new visitors to the Ranch! A month of implementing novel ideas and missing our Service Units that volunteer to groom horses, cows, donkeys, and occasionally dogs. We consistently have individuals or animals requiring comfort. Once the holiday season concludes and you're seeking cardio exercises or puzzles, consider visiting us at Dreamer's, where everyone is welcome. Happy New Year! We look forward to 2025!

Today we got to experience so many hugs and happiness from our guest that came out. One man has came so far here so many milestones he has tackled. A autistic man who when he started would not look you in the eye or at you. Being touched at all was a no go. Today three hugs for me and both arms In a bear hug! Best gift ever!

Merry Christmas! Having a few of our weekly group out for a soup lunch and ornament making along with frosting cookies! What a wonderful day! Lots of hugs and happy faces and full hearts! Thank you St Mary’s band for a wonderful concert!

Good Morning! As we prepare for our day, we are excited to host five groups for a soup lunch, featuring a Christmas celebration with cookie decorating, ornament making, animal interaction, and socializing. While preparing carrots for our chicken noodle soup, I observed that each carrot exhibited a unique shape and size. This reminded me that, similarly, we are all distinctively and wonderfully made, comprising a diverse range of individuals. Just as a farmer nurtures seeds without knowing the exact outcome, we still appreciate the variety of carrots, regardless of their size or shape, as they will satisfy the hunger of our guests. We look forward to a great Wednesday, filled with opportunities to nourish both body and soul.

New Year Volunteer Opportunities at Dreamer's Place: Join Us and Make a Difference! Monday: 11:30 am-1:30 pm, Tuesday: 11:30 am-2:30 pm, Wednesday: 10:30 am-1:30 pm, Thursday: 12:30 pm-2:30 pm, Friday: 10:00 am-2:30 pm. This is an ideal opportunity for stay-at-home parents, who are welcome to bring their children along. As a volunteer, you will be trained to assist adults with learning difficulties, lead horses around our indoor and outdoor arenas, and interact with guests and animals. By volunteering, you will not only be impacting the lives of others but also enriching your own life in ways you never thought possible. Please call us to express your interest and join our community of dedicated volunteers.

With the onset of December, we take a brief respite from our service group commitments, and in what feels like an instant, the month draws to a close. We offer our warmest wishes to them for a holiday season marked by wellness, togetherness with family, and festive cheer. Throughout the month, we have maintained a busy schedule, balancing office tasks with visits from friends and acquaintances. We also made it a point to attend our grandchildren's holiday programs in Omaha, which proved to be a heartwarming experience. In addition, GiGi Laura enlisted the help of some neighbor kids in baking Christmas cookies. As the children decorated the cookies, their imagination and creativity shone through, and they eagerly displayed their finished products. This experience reinforced the notion that every individual who visits Dreamers is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece, carefully crafted with unique characteristics, and we are honored to provide a welcoming space for them. The accompanying photograph captures the beauty of our cookie creations.

During December we close for our daily groups that come from the day service units. It is too cold for them and during the holidays we wish to keep everyone healthy so the can enjoy all the fun activities.
We are so blessed to get to know these men and women. Always a smile to be given.

The cooler weather creates a challenge in encouraging everyone to appreciate the outdoors. As a result, we tend to gather in the warm television room and the arena. Nonetheless, everyone receives sufficient love, walks, and treats from a bundled-up group. The holiday season necessitates a shorter week. We are appreciative of the time spent this week with friends and the enjoyment of playing games in the arena.

Monday is here. Dreamer’s is a lot like the author of this quote. Unknown is how we go about our day and week. We know of the plans we have made. However the rest is unknown.

We are all looking forward to the unknown of the week. We can only imagine the joy that the unknown moments will bring this week!

The past week. We have been busy with our guest as well as getting the house and barns ready for the holidays!

Yes it’s just November we know! We were asked to be part of Wayne’s Country Christmas tour of homes! This great event raises money for the historical society. So we pulled out all the totes from
The barns as well as tucked in nooks and crannies in the house. Washed all the china and set the tables to welcome visitors into our home.

Friday we had groups until 2 pm then we cleaned up and opened the doors at 4:30 for guest to come tour every nook and cranny of the house.

We met so many amazing and wonderful neighbors and Eeyore had so many people to say Hello to!

So instead of horse and people today we share our memories of Christmas table set all pretty.
