"She is most definitely a companion dog, but we have done a few scent work trials. The last one she did she got second place in the indoor category... I can't tell you enough how much I love my little girl and she has been so good for me! Since getting her I sleep so much better and get lots of exercise with walks in the neigborhood and hikes in our local state parks."

A word on prices...

I go through spurts of being absolutely overwhelmed by requests for a particular puppy/dog that is available. The assumption appears to be that a dog who has stuck around a while, or a dog that was returned and is being placed again, should cost less than an 8 week old puppy.

Folks. 😅

No.

Pricing is not a secret with me. 😊 An 8 week old puppy is $2000 USD from me. A puppy at 4-6 months of age will be somewhere around $2500-3500 (depending on training completed). And adolescent around 6-12 months will be somewhere around $3500-5000 (again, depending on training).

The puppy is worth more to me, the longer it stays. It isn't a nuisance. 🤷‍♀️ All of my dogs are welcome home, always. At any age.

Returned dogs aren't priced less just because they are being returned. They aren't defective things. They are going to be your companion, likely for 10-15 years. ❤️

And yes, sometimes I do send a puppy to someone I am close to for free or cheap... but please don't let that be your expectation if we've never even met before. 😅

This boy is still here! He needs to be placed pretty quickly as Hannah will be having a baby in a month and won't be able to continue his training.

Cast your nets far and wide and see who you might know that would be a good fit and send them this way. 🙏

We received surprising news yesterday! This boy is currently in FL and needs to be returned and placed elsewhere. He was in training as a service dog and was doing very well. His owner is just not able to provide care for him at this time.

I think that it's easy to get caught up in the competitiveness of winning ribbons and trophies and forget that some of my dogs are doing, arguably, the most important job they can do = be good companions.

I am sharing an email that came in about a Malinois I placed with a family with children. She may have vanished from our view, as we get caught up on sharing our latest title brags, but she's been doing the best job at being a good dog and family member.

Dog Mail!

Goose, the puppy from the S litter who was returned last year, passed his Canine Good Citizen test! 👏👏👏

I look at his handsome face and am so glad he was "too much" dog for his previous owners. He's doing great with us!

As we wrap up the year, we have just 1 more team meeting to complete. I reflect on how much our team accomplished this year. In just the last 2 months, we added 21 titles on the dogs here in MO!
