As of today I’m at capacity on deer for shoulder mounts. If you have spoken to me and are on my list I will still take them. If you are a regular customer and get one, give me a call and we will work it out. Turn around time is about 18 months now. I will continue to take deer for European mounts. I can have them done within 2 weeks. I appreciate you all trusting me with your trophies! This year is definitely going in the books for big bucks! Thanks!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Wanted to post an update on this cold, snowy day! I hope this finds everyone well and getting ready to spend Thanksgiving with family and friends! I’m still working hard on last year’s orders… have maybe 25 or so left. Of course right now I’m having to do a lot of skinning on what’s coming in so it delays the mounting process. Thanks for your patience and I will notify you as soon as yours is ready. Many of you know I always close the shop opening week of rifle season to hunt with my family. With the regulation changes it will be a week later. I will be gone Thursday November 28 until the December 8. Please feel free to text me during this time if you get a buck. I will get back with you! If you don’t have a freezer we will see what we can work out. I’m not taking any more bears, but will accept deer shoulder and skull mounts. Thanks for understanding that this taxidermist loves to hunt as much as you do! Blessings to you and your family this holiday season and good luck out there! 🦌

Update from Howell Taxidermy. No damage at our place. Just no power, Wi-Fi or phone service. Generator is running to keep our freezers, full of deer and bear capes running. Can’t find any gas as of today so hopefully our power will be restored before the gas cans are empty! Trying to just run it enough to keep everything frozen. 🤞We are counting our blessings that our family and our homes are safe! My heart breaks for my Cove Creek and Jonathan Creek communities and all of Haywood County and WNC. You can’t imagine the devastation unless you see it in person. Please pray for our beautiful WNC and its people!
