We had "meat" turkeys that didn't mature fast enough for Thanksgiving butcher. They now think they're dogs which is no Bueno on the patio, but the benfit is that they're so slow that this kids can catch and pet them.

I've been procrastinating, but finally dug into the stash of 4 years of alpaca sheering. Sorting, skirting and packaging. It will take me weeks to get through it all, but it will be a huge accomplishment to get this done.

So excited to share our new baby girls. African porcupines! The owner was calling them nyquil and dayquil but we are still undecided on names.

Sheering makes me go:

Bottles every 3 hours round the clock. Physical therapy and practice walking. Enemas and butt bathes. But every day his brain and his muscles wake up a teeny tiny bit more. He's more alpaca every day. I hope tomorrow his legs figure out their an alpaca too... This is his longest unassisted standing.
