Bop it test to see how she would do!
I would say she passes! ✅
Hollie is still young, so of course she was playing back! 🤣
Say hi to SNOOP!
This 3 year old ball of energy LOVES to go running around outside off leash, he gets along great with most dogs, and LOVES food! 🎾🍔🐕
He is under 40 pounds, so he’s a pretty petite young man!
All the dogs got to participate in “Choose their own toy!”
It was a fun time had by all with a bunch of wiggly butts, wagging tails, kisses and laughs! 🎁🎄
Stop in and see all the wonderful kittens and cats we have available for adoption! 😸
🎙️Some tips on how to read dogs’ body language.
This sweet girl is Tilly. She came in as a stray, and has yet to be claimed. It would appear that she is going to be ours, and ready for a new home very soon! 🏡 She will warm up, and adjust, but she is still newer so she will need some patience. 🔑
Don’t let his adorable face fool you… Dexter is a cold-blooded killer!! 🤪 His play style is a little rough but this spunky little guy would be a great addition for someone with another feisty kitty to keep him busy! Dexter is around 7 months old and ready for adoption!

Big thank you to Sandra for the Snuffle mats. And the Bar Keepers Friend!
Puppies and mom (mostly the puppies) got their first training session today! 💪🏼
As we all know, pups like to jump up. What a lot of people fail to understand, is that the attention you give them (negative attention such as telling them no) (positive attention, such as petting them while they’re jumping) while they are doing the behavior you want them NOT to do, is incorrect. Dogs will react mostly on body language. That is how they express themselves 💕
Their body language is barking, growling, hair on end etc. 🐕
The biggest thing (and let’s face it, sometimes the most aggravating thing to do) is completely ignore them, then reward when they do what you want them to do. 🦴 🍪
In this case-I want them NOT to jump on me. (Primarily sit!) So, in completely ignoring the behavior they are doing, and rewarding when they sit, they start to change there mindset. Notice how quickly ⏳ all of them followed the directions!
Its so important to teach your dogs lessons. 📝
Especially if you can start at an early age! Ignore the bad (in this case) and reward the good!
Try at home! If you have a dog that is a jumper, give it a shot! Obviously consistency is key 🔑 but we all need to start somewhere!
Animal of the day! 🐾
Sarah 💖
Age: 5 months
Breed: Chesapeake Bay/labrador X
Good with kids: ✔️
Good with dogs: ✔️
Good with cats: ❓
Sarah came in as a stray and went unclaimed. We are very happy that she came in when she did, otherwise she probably would have met her demise as she was seen wandering in the road and almost got hit! 😟 A Good Samaritan called the PD and brought her in. She is a playful little girl WHO LOVES a game of fetch! She would make a great retriever, as she brings it back to you, and even drops it for you almost every time you ask! 🎾 (With a little coaxing) She is starting to be taught some manners when it comes to jumping, but she is catching on quickly! She is chipped, and will be spayed this coming week. She is available for adoption now, so get your apps in now, and come say hi!
Please be mindful that when you adopt a puppy, they are a 10-15 year commitment. As they grow, they need to be taught obedience, manners and be properly socialized. The time spent doing these things, is minimal compared to the lifelong love, loyalty and friendship you will get in return. ❤️🐾🏡
