🐾 Meet Sebastian — A Bold, Playful Spirit Looking for His Perfect Match 🐾

Sebastian is a sleek, striking black cat with a big personality and an even bigger love for playtime. He’s the kind of cat who brings energy and excitement into a room — but he needs a very particular kind of home to truly thrive.

🌑 About Sebastian

Sebastian can be unpredictable at times, especially when he’s overstimulated or feeling insecure. He’s not a beginner-friendly cat, and he’s not suited for a busy or highly social household. What he IS, however, is a smart, spirited cat who loves interactive play, enrichment toys, and anything that lets him burn off energy in a healthy way.

He’s the type of cat who might swipe or nip when he’s had enough, so understanding his signals is essential.

🏡 His Ideal Home

Sebastian will do best in a home that can offer him:

*No small children — He’s too unpredictable for a home with young kids.
*Experienced cat owners only* — People who know feline behavior and can handle a reactive or high-intensity cat.
*A calm, structured environment* where he can settle at his own pace and enjoy his play sessions without overwhelm.

* Having space to explore high up
* Humans who play with him while respecting his boundaries

Happy Monday! This week we have a LOT of new cats to share with you, but not all have great photos so bear with us on that. Hashbrown, Porkie, Phantom, Peaches, Lacy, Patch went home individually, and Shiro & Hoggle, Miku & Meiko, and Tourmaline & Pumpkin went home in pairs this week! Leroy, Hazel, and Autumn & Acorn are on deposit.

New cats include: Krampus, Moose, Flint, Buster, Antonio, Thumbs, Barracuda, Anchovy, Maple. Dobby & Muggles, Simon & Dizmo, Tylor and Nash, and Oatmeal & Pudding are all bonded pairs looking for their forever homes.

Dobby & Muggles are a bonded pair that was surrendered to us due to allergies in the family. They are a very cute pair of kitties and will do well in a variety of homes! Oatmeal and Pudding were strays that came to us and were semi-social. They’ve warmed up to indoor living and people but will be best in a quiet home with cat-experienced adopters.

Dizmo & Simon are a bonded pair that came to us through the rehoming program. They were surrendered to us with no fault of their own. They are a little over a year old and can be shy but once they warm up, they are very sweet, cuddly boys.

Tylor & Nash were surrendered due to family going into a nursing home. They are two adult kitties that seem a little shy but we imagine they’d do well in a variety of homes.

Moose, Buster, and Flint came to us as strays but they are the CUTEST little babies that would do well together or adopted into homes with other young, playful cats.

Antonio was adopted a few years ago but his owner is moving across the country and could not take him along. He is a big handsome boy who is about 13 years old and would need a quiet, comfortable home.

Krampus is a beautiful long-haired tabby who came to us in a TNR event but could not be returned. He would also need a cat-experienced home to become comfortable on his own schedule.

Reminder- the final night to deliver items for the Declutter for a Cause fundraiser is this Thursday! We will be delivering the items on Saturday, so please drop items off only on Thursday. We also have items for sale at the shelter, available for purchase during business hours until Christmas!

Once again, we'd like to thank everyone who stopped by our Shop Small Business “Caturday” event this past Saturday! Whether it was to shop, drop off a donation, adopt a furry friend or to visit, WE APPRECIATE YOU ALL! ❤

If you were unable to make it to our event, we still have quite a few items for sale. These items were all created and donated by our volunteers so 100% of the proceeds go towards caring for our furry shelter friends!

Stop by to shop during our open hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 4 to 7 and Saturdays from 10 to 1, now until Christmas!

Happy Monday, and what an exciting weekend we had at the CCC! We had ten cats get adopted and nine more go on deposit! Cayenne, Eclair, Ophelia, Melange, Gemini, Lily, and Willow went home singly, and Button & Boo, Snuggles & Bandit, and Angel, Spike, & Buffy went home together! Our courtesy post cat that had a lot of interest to help, Kalah, also was officially adopted by one of our great volunteers and has settled in wonderfully at her new home. Thank you for all your care and concern for her, and please keep us in mind for the next time we have a senior kitty in need of a home! We also had Mimi, Peaches, Patch, Lacey, Hashbrown, Tourmaline & Pumpkin (together) Meiko & Miku (together) go on deposit. Wow! 😻

We also want to share our thanks for the super successful Small Business Caturday event this weekend! Due to the success of this, many of these cats had visitors and found their wonderful new homes! We also got to interact with many of our great supporters and local community members, and of course, thank you to the excellent businesses that participated, as well as our volunteers who crafted and donated items to benefit the CCC! It was all around a wonderful and heartwarming event, so thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

A few reminders: we have our Declutter for a Cause event going on just a little while longer until December 11th, so please bring by your items you’d like to donate before then- items and hours for donation included in the post! We all hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving with your families and loved ones! Final reminder: Tomorrow is our Small Business Caturday event!

Come join us at the Community Cat Connection tomorrow, Saturday, November 29th for our 2nd Annual Shop Small Business Caturday from 10:00 to 2:00!

Our elves (volunteers) have been busy, lovingly creating and donating unique craft items, purr-fect gifts for all of the cat lovers on your Christmas gift list. All proceeds will go towards caring for our kitty shelter residents. There will be a drop-off bin if you’d like to bring in kitty treats or toys for the cats.

So come shop, meet the cats and enjoy a holiday treat and beverage!

Happy Forever Friday, and we hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving! We have a great update about one of our recently adopted kitties, Apple! Apple and his siblings came to us through our Spay A Mom program and spent some time in foster. They were socialized wonderfully and all turned out to be loving, sweet kitties. Apple was then adopted by one of our lovely volunteers! Read below for a nice update on this sweet baby:

“Update on Teddy Smore Bucks (Formerly Known as Apple) and His Sister Fluffinutter:
Teddy Smorebucks—once known as Apple—is settling beautifully into his forever home, and one of the sweetest parts of his new life is the incredible bond he’s formed with his sister, Fluffinutter.

From day one, the two of them clicked like they’d been waiting their whole lives to reunite. Whether they’re curled up together for synchronized naps, chasing each other around the house in joyful bursts of energy, or sharing quiet moments of gentle grooming, Teddy and Fluffinutter are truly inseparable. Their connection is the kind that melts hearts on sight.

Teddy absolutely adores his new home, but it’s clear that having Fluffinutter by his side is what makes it complete. She brings out his playful side, encourages his confidence, and provides comfort whenever he settles in for cuddles. Together, they’ve created their own little world of warmth, mischief, and love.
We’re thrilled to share that Teddy Smorebucks is flourishing—not just because of the comfort of his forever home, but because he gets to share it with his beloved sister. Their bond is as sweet as their marshmallowy names, and watching them grow together has been nothing short of magical.”

Happy Monday and happy almost-Thanksgiving! Reminder- we are closed this Thursday for open hours! Also a reminder- we have our Small Business Caturday event this Saturday from 10-2, come join us!!!

Lily, Willow, and Gemini are on deposit, and Crystal, Shadow, Zachary, Henny & Cookie, and Cannoli went home this past week! We also found a home for Kalah with one of our wonderful volunteers. We are so thankful for all your interest in helping her, and please keep us in mind for any future elderly cats!

We have some new kitties, including a pair of bonded siblings, Croissant and Bagel, their sister Hashbrown, and an adult boy named Patch. Hashbrown, Bagel and Croissant came to us as semi-feral kittens and spent a long time with my mother in foster care, getting friendly and sweet. Hashbrown is a mushbug, but Bagel and Croissant are a bit shy and not super comfortable being picked up and held. They like other cats as they were found at a farm where people were dumping cats and we helped them TNR the adults and took the kittens in and many have found new homes.

Patch was found as a stray but is very handsome, and very sweet. He has an unusually shaped face, he could even be an exotic breed! We don’t know a whole lot about him, since he was found as a stray.
