What a fun weekend we had at the "Slidin Daze" Enterprises Punchy in Pink show hosted by the ncta_ranchhorse2024 in McCook Nebraska! Several of our young horses made their first trip to town and our team members made great progress in the show pen! Here's how things turned out for us:

👉 Delaney Helgans and her mare She Got Swagger "Grace" were prepping for the NIRSHA show next week. Grace and Delaney were🥈 in the AQHA Amateur Ranch Trail. They also took home a 🥉 overall in the Collegiate Limited Non-Pro Stock horse with a 1st in both pleasure and trail and a 3rd in the cow work.

👉 Brooke Foreman and her mare Metallic Haida Sevnl "Kat" prepped for the NIRSHA show next week with a 4th overall in the Collegiate Limited Non-Pro Stock Horse. They took home a 🥈 in the trail and a 5th in the cow.

👉 Kendall Crespin and her gelding Travelin Joe Cash "Joey" also were focused on getting ready for NIRSHA. They ended up 5th in the overall Collegiate Limited Non-Pro Stock Horse with a 🥉 in both the trail and the rein work!

👉 Dagney Grissom and her cool gelding FS Rein N To Win "Mitch" knocked it out if the park in their first trip in the show pen this season. The were 🏆 overall in the VRH Limited Youth overall with a 🥇 in the cow work! She and Mitch were also 🥈 Reserve Champion in the Youth Stock Horse with yet another 🥇 in the cow work.

👉 Ginger Matney and her gelding Oskar Blue "Oskar" got themselves back in the show pen for the season and started their prep for VRH Worlds.

👉 Sara Nichols and her mare Peptocat Dun It "Bailey" made their first trip through all 4 classes in the Stock Horse Non-Pro Junior Horse and made some great progress in the show pen!

👉 Dana Stephenson and When Smoke Clears "Forrest" made their first trip in the show pen and ended up 🥉 overall in the Limited Non-Pro Stock Horse!

👉 Dana Stephenson and his mare Mamas Drivin Hy "Friday" made their first trip to town and cruised through a few classes in the Open Novice Stock Horse.

👉 Miriam Altman and Snowmann "Harry" got out for their first time this season and ended up with a 🥇 in the Senior Jackpot Cutting, 🥈 AQHA Open Senior Ranch Trail, and a 🥈 overall in the Open Stock Horse.

👉 Miriam Altman and Bad Desires Rising "Crickett" made their first trip to town and cruised through a few of the Ranching Heritage 4 yo+ classes.

Congrats to all of our team members and their successes this weekend! We can't wait for the next one.

I can't believe I forgot to introduce this amazing guy to the world! This strong sorrel c**t arrived early in the morning on Friday the 28th. He is by Annies Smart Cat and out of our Dual Rey mare, Boonbay Rey who has progeny earnings over $80k now. We can't wait to see what the future holds for this one!

I have said it before but I need to say it again... I have THE BEST friends and clients in the world.

When my friend and her young boys gifted me this sign for the holidays, it nearly brought me to tears. The thoughtfulness of this gift is beyond believable. But what makes it even more special is that I've never mentioned to them how much I have wanted a sign exactly like this. There's so much more meaning to this sign for me than that as well... but I'll leave that for my friends and I to know about.

Next time you come to the barn, I hope you appreciate how much is behind this sign!

🩷 I could not be happier with our set of 2023 prospects. This group of yearlings is our best yet and I truly can see our breeding program going the direction we planned. Not only are these yearlings talented, they have the conformation and minds that we were hoping for. It also doesn't hurt that they're pretty to boot! If you're looking for a 2023 prospect, let's chat.... but I may have a hard time letting any of them go 😆

What a week we had at the Stock Horse of Texas World Show! Snowmann (known as Harry in the barn) worked hard and we grew immensely as a team! I couldn't be more proud of him and how he handled the large challenges I placed in front of him to go to this big show. We had some great highlights in every class and I'm excited to see where we make it in the future. We didn't end up where we would have liked but I'm excited to move onward and upward!
