Our cucamelons are coming in at a steady pace! They are the perfect pop in your mouth refreshing treat! We hope to be able to offer some to you as the plants begin to mature!
Attention all chefs, sushi and salad lovers…. We will be offering a limited amount of Shiso leaves tomorrow at the market! The aroma is highly fragrant of anise and cinnamon, the flavor is refreshing and reminiscent of basil, mint, anise and clove. Yum!!!!
Few things are better than a giant bowl of blueberries! We are blessed to have bushes that produce these beautiful gems for our family and workshare helpers! 🫐💕
Happy Birthday to my three babies! Anna, Cookie and Brownie! The day was filled with new squeaky toys, dinner out and a family walk! Love you Anna! Here’s to 19 years that has flown by, and looking toward the future as you embark on new adventures! We pray God will guide your future in school, decisions and relationships that continue to shape you into a wonderful adult.
It’s battle of the bugs season! This heat has brought them out in droves and I spent so much time time scouting and eliminating these little pests. Every season I let them know out loud the battle will continue, and here we again!
Overall, it was a success. For the first time cooking over an open fire, we give it a 7/10. The bottom of the pizza burned a bit but it was still flavorful. It all worked out!
I bought Eric a new Dutch oven for cooking on the fire pit. We’re cooking a pizza in it and a peach blackberry crisp in the open one. Fingers crossed it all comes out good or we’ll be eating cereal for dinner tonight!
Our next round of lilies should be blooming in about a week!
The first bloom of a new flower we are growing!
It’s great to see how spring and summer flowers form a bridge between seasons! Summer blooms are coming in slower than usual with this cooler weather, but that just means we can enjoy the spring flowers longer!!!
Our early varieties of blackberries are coming in strong (don’t ask what varieties as the names faded a couple years back and my brain no longer remembers 🤪). The summer is going to be berry sweet!!!
It looks like summer has decided to come early this year and that means we have SO many things to do, but not enough hours (or energy) to do it all!!! One of those things is harvesting all the flowers that seem to be ready overnight! We are currently looking for someone who would like to help harvest flowers each week. If you have flower harvesting experience, that is a BIG plus, if not, I’ll train you! This is a part time seasonal job for approximately two-three hours in the morning once or twice each week. Text me at 980-328-5581 with any questions or to set up a time to meet.
Our Early season hydrangeas will be joining us this week at the market! The spring to summer floral transition has begun!
Battling the poison ivy this week. It’s popping up in the back growing areas and chicken run😕
Working with teenagers can be a challenge or a joy, especially in agriculture! We work with dirt, weeds, bugs, sweat, crazy weather and NO phones! This is Melina and she has handled it all with ease along side me this spring during her internship. Along the process she has also been doing a great job helping with bouquet making and arrangements!
This may seem like a regular bouquet, but to me it’s extra special. I may be a flower farmer and see these flowers every day, but Eric went out, cut all these stems and then went in the shop and made this bouquet for me for Mother’s Day! That’s extra special in my book! Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms (four leg, two leg or no leg. Fur, skin or scales, if you have a little one you care for, then you are a mom)!
Another prom in the books!!!
After a year of planning, months of preparing, planting, watering and maintaining, weeks of over the top worrying and several days of praying, it all came together! We are blessed to bless others with the joy of flowers! Special thanks to Anna for her extra hours spent with me making bouquets, transporting flowers this morning before the sun came up and for baking us sourdough cinnamon raisin bits for breakfast this morning, Melina for helping with planting, harvesting and creating our jar and vase arrangement base flowers and Hannah for mulching, weeding and taking chores off my plate! And of course the biggest thanks go to YOU, our incredibly amazing customers who preordered bouquets and came out show your incredible support today! Nearly 300 bouquets and arrangements will bring smiles and joy to others this weekend! Thank You!!!💕🌸💐❤️

These color combinations were only an idea last fall. It’s so refreshing to see the massive amounts of research, planning, and preparing finally come together to offer bright, bold, beautiful bouquets for you (and Mom, Grandma, Maw Maw, Auntie, etc.) this Saturday! PS. If you can’t make it to the market and want to order and pickup at the farm, feel free to contact me! 980-328-5581.
Even more beautiful today!🥰
We felt privileged to be asked to provide DIY floral buckets for a rehearsal dinner last week! The groom’s mother stated they loved them so much, they added them to the wedding flowers the next day! Here are a couple of the client’s pictures. 💕
These beauties really brighten a room on a dreary day!
I know it may sound unbelievable, but this is MY first peony bouquet! I’ve always harvested the flowers to offer to you all and haven’t ever stopped to enjoy them myself! This year is the first, and I’m happy I did!💕

Our chicks have feathered out and have moved to the main coop (and out of our shop) to begin acclimating to the full sized hens. Once they grow a bit more and add some weight (so they don’t fly over the fence!), they will then be released with the rest of the flock.
It was live at first blooms for these cuties! We began growing yarrow to “try it out” about 5 years ago. I started a handful of seeds and patiently waited for the flowers to come. After what seemed liked forever a couple little bead top stems sprung up. I cut them and admired the delicate look of each and every tiny little gem that seemed to glisten. I decided we need more of these great little plants! The following year, I decided we needed even more and so on. Now today, we have more plants than I can count and they consume and entire 55 foot bed! For a flower to have an entire bed dedicated to them on our farm is a big deal! These flowers are one of our favorites and we anxiously wait every spring for their colorful beauty to arrive!
After a day of more heartbreaking baby bunny death and now snake death, I’m grateful to sit and listen to one of my favorite springtime sounds. Our grey tree frogs are back at the pool with their serenades. I’m hopeful some of these cuties are the tadpoles we spent most of last summer raising. 💕
Veggie and fruit seedlings are available now and will also be at the Matthews Farmer’s Market this Saturday! We have tomatoes, peppers, limited beans and cucumbers and even some more strawberry plants!!!
Second tunnel completed!!!! This one was a bit harder to get done. We battled winds, plastic that was too cold to stretch, so it ripped, more wind, etc. but I’m so thankful to have family (Noey and Matt) and friends (Aaron) to come spend the day with me to battle the weather and get this bad boy up!💕
So excited these are finally here!!! Let the fun begin and spring flowers come!!!!! These will be available in 2-3 gallon pots next spring!!! So excited!!!!
I’m head over heels with these dahlias! They were MUCH larger than I expected, and are more cafe au lait in color, but I’m still living them!!!!💕🌸
We take pride in hard work and natural farming (without the use of pesticides and/or herbicides) to produce delicious blackberries (beginning 2020), heavenly scented fresh blooms (beginning 2020), healthy soy-free eggs, and rich cold pressed honey.
