Wonderful video explaining what training without conflict is from Ivan himself

For quite some time, people and trainers alike have asked me "What is Training Without Conflict"?

The answer to this is now available on my YouTube channel (link in the comments)

In this video I aim to provide you, not only with an answer to that very important question, but also the reasons why it is such a powerful training methodology.

I discuss the reasons finding a mentor is crucially important in the development of a trainer and how to identify the right mentor for you.

I dive deep into my history as a trainer and what makes me different from every single teacher and trainer in the industry.

The aspects that separate and allow Training Without Conflict® to rise above all other training methods is also explored in depth.

Remember major, he would guard his ball and wouldn’t give it back at all.
This is almost 2 years later and look at this monster out his owner still has with him his obedience is also a different level I’ll get a video of it before I leave. Unbelievable. We also had him hang out with Milo a new dog to him with no problems at all.
So proud of these two

Milo is back home with his owner. I’m gonna miss this big boy.

Best compliment I heard from the owner was :

“Milo is still the happy dog he was when I dropped him off, but now he listens so well. Having him around the German shephard wouldn’t have been possible at all before this”

Bittersweet moment when you drop off a dog you’ve grown close too. But his owner and him will do amazing.

Another fabulous weekend with the newest TWC class. What amazes me every time is that all these trainers are from all over the globe, they have different levels of experience, different backgrounds of training, different methods and so many more differences that by all accounts should make it almost impossible to put them into one room and have a productive discussion.

But every time, Ivan Balabanov manages to amaze them, open their eyes to things that blows their minds, not only is he a great dog trainer but an even better teacher, he encourages them to ask questions and speak with a new understanding of what it means to be a dog trainer. Nobody in this picture left as the same trainer they where when they arrived, me included. There is always something to learn, always another perspective to explore. Put simply it’s amazing what happens during these weekends.

I can say friendships where made, and Im happy I got to meet all of them. Good luck on your tests and I can’t wait to see you all again in the near future.

A short video do you know what I’m teaching here? Looks like it’s just a down but what we are really teaching is much more powerful. 💪 This guy loves the ball absolutely loves it, some might say he’s obsessed with it 🎾, so once you get the most out of your dog it’s important that you are able to guide it also. 🤯He has an e-collar on but I didn’t have to use it once today, and the entire session lasted about an hour. This wasn’t taught thru E-collar if that’s your guess🤯. Don’t be afraid to get the most out of your dog This dog needed to open up and become a monster…and then we control and guide that monster 😉

- PLAY LIKE THIS WILL MAKE YOUR DOG AGGRESSIVE - DONT PLAY TUG WITH A DOG WITH BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS - DONT LET THEM WIN THEY WILL TRY AND CHALLENGE YOU IN THE FUTURE - PLAYING LIKE THIS WILL MAKE AN AGGRESSIVE DOG EVEN MORE AGGRESSIVE ‼️All a bunch of BULL💩 that they tell you when they don’t know how to guide a dog in high states of arousal. And they might be right, they may not know how to teach you how to guide your dog. So their answer keep the dog under threshold never let them win against you or suppress them and park them on a place mat 🤦‍♂️ ⭐️BUT IT CAN BE DONE BETTER⭐️ I say let the dog become the best version of themselves, the crazy fun monster and then GUIDE them. This is life changing stuff, you’ll never look at dog training the same. It’s not just play it’s essential when looking for results. I want to highlight one of my clients Greg Thomas and his dog sandee for coming out today and helping us out training with sky today. Thank you so much It takes a team to get real results and I’m blessed to have clients that I can call on to be there for us. Plus watching the relationship he has with his dog is mind blowing and beautiful. We learned a lot today and sky did amazing.

People have been asking if I still use treats in training, the answer is yes when I feel it’s appropriate. But here’s the thing in this video we passed 2 dogs, something that would of been impossible a month ago. And I give her some treats here but in the end I don’t give her a treat and she’s still as excited as if I did give her one. Why is that? It’s because she has ate a few hours earlier she’s not hungry, it’s not really about the treats either it’s about me and her doing something together and it’s about freedom. Ps: she almost cut the concrete in half with that recall⚡️

Sky came to me with severe dog aggression.

The last 10 seconds of the video are the most important! Little play with our girl sky last night, she’s one of those dogs that it’s not easy to get her to play YET, this is the end of 35 minutes of being in the humidity and getting attacked by mosquitos, but it’s all worth it once you see your dog open up and start enjoying doing things with you.

Acy is blossoming into a more confident dog everyday even showing interest in toys and playing with other dogs. once we get to this point that's where training really begins, now that we are friends and she trusts me, all the obedience and walking past dogs/cats and kids won't be such an issue anymore....
