I sure do take a lot of pictures of dogs 😂😂🐶💖💖I thought it was kind of neat so thought I would share it and take this opportunity to thank all my customers for a great year !! Here is Max. He boards often here at Foster House and would make a great addition to your family 💖 He is curious and busy in the house and outside and calm in his kennel as long as the other dogs aren’t having more fun than he is 😂 Then he would rather be playing along with them 🥰 He has a lot of time already invested in training for manners by his current family and will be an excellent listener !!

The new sidewalk is OFFICIALLY finished !!!! A few flaws and a couple mistakes but I’m over it. DONE is the word rolling round in my head right now as I refrain from entertaining the neighbors with happy dancing 🤪🤣 Who’s going to miss the old boardwalk ?😂

My boy Duke came in for a bit of a spruce-up so he’s fit to be seen in public on Saturday for Wessington’s Parade of Lights 🎄🛻🎄 He might not have been excited about the prepping but he will be excited to see you all there 💖💖

Today I’m taking time to count my many blessings, one of those being 5 complete years of Foster House Boarding and Grooming !!💖!!

It was this day 5 years ago I took in my first “unofficial” boarders. My building was not even completed and the heat had been installed only a couple days prior. But I was told if I could make it work, two pups (Finn and Keva) would love to come stay with me for the holiday. There were some bumps in the road 😳 and unexpected things to figure out 😂 but it was the start of something that made me happy then and makes me even happier today 💖

🦃 Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 to all my 2-legged 👣 family, friends, and neighbors who entrust their 4-legged 🐾 family members to my care. I truly love them all 🐾💖🐾💖 Here’s to the next 5 years !!!!

UPDATE: Gus found a foster home through a Brittany rescue group !! Is there anyone who can take in Finley, the border collie/heeler ? She looks so sweet 💖 Her age is not on her side right now but she still has so much left to give 💖💖

Can anybody help with these two pups ? I know Paige, she would take them if she could ❤️ We are hoping someone out there can keep them together and give them a good home 💖

TWO DOGS LOOKING FOR HOMES!!!!

Finley- 10 year old border collie/blue heeler mix. She loves attention and is a sweet girl. She’s been an outside dog and does will with horses and other dogs.

Gus- 8 year old pure bread Brittany spaniel. Neutered. Very very very sweet guy. He has also been an outside dog majority of his life. Does wonderful with horses and other dogs.

They have been together their whole lives so I don’t really want to split them up if I don’t have to but I don’t have a choice. They are excellent farm dogs and I think would make great house dogs with a little training. If I had more room outside I would be taking them but unfortunately that’s not the case. A good home is an absolute must!!!! Please message me with any questions.

A young man’s need for a confirmation project and 4 pair of hands takes a task from the very bottom of the list right to the top with a big ole “done” check mark beside it 🥰 Casey Hughes says his passion is dogs and that’s what he chose to spend his time on for his project but after spending several hours working beside him, I think there are a couple more on his list 🥰 So thankful that he thought of Foster house this time around, tho, and helped give the dogs something more to keep them busy when they are out in the play yard !!! Their tire tunnel turned out so good. And pretty 💕Thank you Casey, you’re the best 💖 And the helpers you brought along are pretty wonderful too 🥰

NOW, I AM CURIOUS, is there anyone who is still questioning whether fresh, wholesome food is not the best we can feed our dogs? Please be brave and daring to agree or disagree. I just want to know why ❤️🐾

I guess I should edit this post. I think the saying “less is more” is fine except when talking about fleas 😂😂😂 I simply had a grooming dog come in with some of the little buggers but they are all pinched and dead, thrown out in the hair garbage, or killed in the bath and washed down the drain. My main reason for posting was to bring to everyone’s attention that they are looking for their ride inside for winter and not to get lax with flea preventatives !!

UPDATE: Harmony found her forever home 💖

Guess who is staying with me today !! Remember Harmony, the hound who is looking for a new home ? She is so sweet and enjoys just hanging out minding her own business. Anyone with a fenced in yard and no little dogs or cats need a bestie ? She would be a good one 🥰 If you want to come here to meet her, let me know. I will check with her mom to see if she is ok with that 😘

Came across this girl just now that needs a new home. Their poster will explain why. We pulled up at their house where she was out on the front step. She didn’t make a peep the entire time we were there !! She’d be a good addition to a family that spends time outdoors !!

This girl’s name is Harmony. She currently lives in Highmore, SD, with her very loving rescue mamma but due to her dislike of the home’s kitties and small dogs, she needs to find a home more suitable to her personality. It’s breaking her mamma’s heart as she rescued Harmony in the nick of time from euthanasia in an out-of-state shelter. She does well with dogs her own size and bigger. She is a hound and needs a fenced in yard so her nose doesn’t lead her away on a scent 😊 If you are interested, contact Nona at 1-716-861-5988.

We have a little bit of a lost and found going on here !! Most of the time I know what didn’t get sent home with what family. I let them know I’ve set it aside and it eventually gets back to them. These items, though, I have no idea where they belong 😂 I feel like I should know who the obviously loved alligator belongs to but since it was hiding under the chair for just a little too long enough I can’t recall now. The leash, I have no clue at all. The horn, I think I may have been told to keep it and share it with the other dogs but since there is the slightest doubt I was told that, I’ve included it in the picture 😂 If any of you recognize an item, let me know and I’ll put it in a ziplock and write your name on it until we can get it back to you 🥰

LOOKING FOR A FOSTER HOME !!! If anyone can open their heart to take this young pup ( about 4 months old ) into their family until he can find a loving forever home, please call Rescues Unlimited at 605-835-8780 asap !! We will take him into the vet for care !! His name is Copper and whenever his young owner lets him outside to go potty the neighbors shoot him between the eyes with a BB Gun. She wants him to go to a new home where he is safe and can be outside and run and play and be safe from being shot. PLEASE NO NEGATIVE COMMENTS, WE ARE JUST POSTING TO HELP THIS PUPPY GET A NEW SAFE AND LOVING HOME. ( Yes authorities have been informed ).

Ugh…there’s a lot on my mind lately and honestly it’s breaking my heart. Shelters and rescues are FULL. Strays and surrenders continue to come in but the adoptions out are minimal right now. If you are planning to add a furry member to your family, PLEASE look at the rescues and shelters. If you cannot add a pet right now, you can volunteer! There’s many ways to volunteer, just ask. Continue to share posts…it may make its way to a dog’s forever family. 🐾
