B&L stands for Big and Little Buns Rabbitry. My name is Stefanie Smith and I have bred and exhibited rabbits for many years off and on. I first began showing in 4-H and youth in 1992, and as an open exhibitor in 2000. My first and favorite breed is Holland Lops-when I showed the Hollands were always my main breed. I also in about 2002 brought in French Lops as my second breed and greatly enjoyed w
orking with the "big butts" as well. My rabbitry back then was called Top Lop Rabbitry. Once I became a mom I had the fun of sharing this wonderful hobby with my daughter Josie, and my daughter Becky has also caught the "bunny bug". My son Tyler is still a bit young, but I bet he will be helping mommy soon enough! I let my daughters pick their own breeds and my older daughter Josie chose Flemish Giants & Dwarf Hotots. My younger daughter has picked French Lops & Holland Lops. While Josie's choices has provided learning experience in breeds I'm not as familiar with, but Becky's choices have given me the chance to work with the two breeds I raised myself many years ago. We are still working on building "our" lines but have gotten a great foundation to work with. We've also gotten some amazing New Zealands for the kids meat projects as well. Couldn't be more excited about our 2014 4-H season!
