🚀🏃‍♂️ Moose is on the MOVE! 🏃‍♂️🚀

We’re so proud of our old foster dog, Moose, who is just out there living his best life and competing in Fast CAT trials in Grand Forks! 🏆🐾 Watching him race with such excitement and confidence is truly heartwarming.

Moose came to us through Smiley's Rescues, and after his time at K9 Training Connection, he found an amazing forever home. Now, he’s showing everyone what a little hard work, love, and training can achieve! ❤️

We always knew Moose was destined for greatness, and seeing him shine on the field reminds us why we do what we do. It’s all about giving dogs the chance to thrive. 🐕💨

🐾 Prong Collars: A Helpful Tool When Used Correctly!

Prong collars are often misunderstood, but when used correctly, they can be an effective training tool to communicate with your dog. These collars are designed to apply gentle, even pressure around the dog’s neck, much like a mother dog does when carrying her pups.

However, it’s essential to remember that prong collars are training tools and can cause harm if used incorrectly. That's why we recommend consulting a professional dog trainer before using one on your dog. Without proper guidance, you might end up causing more harm than good. If you are looking to purchase a prong collar make sure you use Herm Sprenger North America, LP brand only. The cheap ones will hurt your dog. I suggest using a 2.25mm prong with a "backup" (super short leash with clips on each end one goes to prong one goes to collar) that way if your prong accidently comes undone which happens! You still are connected to the dogs flat buckle collar ensuring your dog cannot get away and is still connected. I suggest picking all these up in a bundle at Katie's Buckles and using our discount code K9TRAININGCONNECTION.

🚨 Meet Lucy: Looking for Her Forever Home! 🚨

This sweet 8-month-old pittie girl, Lucy, has been through a lot, but her strength and resilience have been nothing short of incredible. After being severely stabbed in the neck with scissors, Lucy has turned her life around and come out on top! ❤️

Lucy is full of energy and loves to be around people, dogs, and especially kids. She’s still working on her manners around children (she gets a little too excited and jumps), but it’s an easily fixable issue! Lucy adores snuggles, long walks on the beach, and chewing on a good bone. She’s also a big fan of car rides! 🚗🐾

✅ Kennel trained
✅ Potty trained
✅ Basic obedience: Sit, down, load up (in the car), great recall
✅ Currently working on off-leash training

Her only little quirk right now is nibbling on hands because she’s teething, but with enough toys and bones, she manages really well.

We’ve been covering Lucy’s costs for food, toys, treats, and care, and she will come with a collar, leash, and a large kennel for her new home. 🐾❤️

Lucy is not spayed yet, so we are asking for a $275 rehoming fee to cover her spay and shots. I’m happy to provide a receipt showing the exact costs.

I wanted to extend my heartfelt thanks to the Alzheimer's Association Minnesota-North Dakota for allowing us to be part of the 2024 Walk to End Alzheimer's - Fargo/Moorhead, ND . It was a truly meaningful experience for us, both personally and professionally.

This cause holds a special place in my heart, as I lost my Gma Polly, to Alzheimer’s. She was my favorite human being besides my mom of course, and being able to be a part of this day doing what I love in her memory made the day even more impactful. Participating in this event gave me the opportunity to honor her life and contribute to a cause that affects so many.

Thank you for all the work you do to support those affected by Alzheimer’s, and for creating such a meaningful event that brings people together in the fight against this devastating disease.

I also wanted to put a shout out to my mom Tanya Reis “Mama Bear” for devoting her life working with people and their families affected by this terrible disease. Your patience, unconditional love, and kindness is such a blessing to everyone that has the opportunity to work with you! You are such a blessing!
