💔 🐾 In Memoriam: Remembering Walter 🐾 💔

With teary eyes, we wave goodbye to our beloved companion, Walter, who meant so much to his DPS family.

We’d like to take a moment to honor the life and legacy of this wonderful Wheaten, who trusted short, tall, bearded, hat-wearing, cat-smelly, bright-color-wearing people; men, women -- basically ANYONE -- to come into his house, go for his walk, and show him love.

Working at DPS is extremely fun and rewarding, but we get very attached to our dogs. Especially Walter. When the news hit that he passed, it was sudden and hard to process.

Though, we knew, deep down, that his life was such a blessing. It brought joy into the lives of his owners and to those who were lucky enough to meet him.

With a soft coat and a calm, curious nature, he gave off an irresistible charm that melted the hearts of those he encountered. We used Walter to train our newly hired employees, as he was an all-star student himself.

The memories we shared, the walks we took, and the warmth we felt will forever be with us. He will be deeply missed.

With sadness comes new opportunities, new beginnings, and new life. Walter’s family has continued with their tradition of loving dogs, and especially Wheaton Terriers. In memory of Walter, his family took in a brand-new bundle of energy and joy; a Wheaton puppy named Marvin, shown at the end of this post.

We know that Marvin is up for the task when it comes to the big paws he must fill! This should be easy for Marvin due to his ambitious energy and boundless puppy love.

Walter, we love you. Marvin, you're already an amazing little sibling to your big bro up above.

Our staff is extremely professional. While they don't always wear dress clothes like Edward, sometimes they have to jump in and help out last second if someone is sick, etc.
