It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Mark Foster. He literally built MA-TF1 from the ground up and we are forever grateful, this was his second home for 30 plus years before his retirement last year. He was truly a pioneer in the US&R system, He will be greatly missed. More info to follow.

Utahns helping states ravaged by Hurricanes Milton and Helene are providing an update on the work they're doing on the ground.

When Hurricane Milton and its accompanying tornadoes struck South Florida, Mother Nature once again left devastation in her wake—marking the second significant storm in two weeks.

In preparation, FEMA Urban Search and Rescue teams transitioned from recovery missions to life-saving efforts, pre-positioning teams and equipment in southern Georgia to await the storm’s passage. Once conditions stabilized, our Utah team deployed to Florida, ready to support rescue operations.

Following assessments by local and federal teams, it was determined that early evacuations and lower storm surge levels resulted in less severe impacts in the operational area, allowing many teams to demobilize.

Over the past two weeks, we have been honored to work alongside dedicated personnel from across the U.S.—local, state, federal, and tribal—united in our mission to assist our fellow citizens. It is a privilege to serve the communities of both Tennessee and Florida during this challenging time. 🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸
