Fall Tracking Series workshop 4 of 4!
Join us for a progressive course on canine tracking (canine is trained to follow ground-born odor left by quarry).

Participants must have either attended the KM K9 tracking workshop at Hessian Hills Farms or have tracking experience.
Dogs that are not actively working must be kept safe and away from working teams so not to distract them (a vehicle
kennel is preferred).

Each week, dogs and their owners will build upon their current skill set with the goal of teaching the dog tracking concepts and variables. Outcomes will vary.

Students must bring an ample supply of rewards (treats/toys) that their dog values, water, water dish, a long-line and non-restrictive tracking harness. A treat-pouch or
similar setup (cloth carpenter’s apron, etc.) is recommended.
Students will be taught to train their dog to track humans using non-compulsive, reward-based methods. Please bring your patience, cooperative spirit, and a sense of humor-
let’s keep this fun!

Excited to be driving to WV to pick up this beautiful K9. Her name is RIOT ❤️
She will begin her Explosives imprinting with me next week. Then she will be paired with her new EOD Handler and they will begin their training.💙

The Fur-Friends of Auburn, Inc, a 501c3, will be hosting a fundraiser event for K9s Biza and Riggs at the Town of Auburn Dog Park at Lemansky Park on October 14th. When the World Trade Center collapsed on September 11, 2001, nearly 10,000 emergency rescue workers joined in the efforts to help. More than 300 of those heroes were dogs.

We remember and honor the Hero Dogs of 9/11 along with the countless people who had their lives irrevocably changed by man’s best friend. From search and rescue dogs to comfort dogs to bomb detection dogs, these canines’ stories of courage and healing are a long-lasting legacy that must never be forgotten.

Trakr, a German Shepherd seen here with Canadian Police officer James Symington, discovered the last survivor of the September 11 attacks at the World Trade Center. Genelle Guzman-McMillan was making her way down the stairs in the South Tower when the building collapsed around her.

After being trapped for 27 hours beneath the concrete and rubble, Trakr alerted firefighters to her whereabouts.
