We are reaching out to all our playgroup and daycare members, as we have had a couple of cases of coughing dogs that have been at playgroups and daycare this past week. As a precaution, to prevent any further spread we are closing playgroups & daycare from Dec. 1st-Dec. 12th, both programs will re-open starting Dec. 13th.

• If your dog has been exposed to another dog with symptoms of CIRD (canine infectious respiratory disease) please refrain from coming to playgroups, daycare, and the dog park for 14 days.

• Any dog having received care for a cough should not resume playgroups, daycare, dog park, boarding, etc., until 14 days after all symptoms have resolved, even if on antibiotics.

• If your dog has done any of the following at ANOTHER FACILITY in the last week, please DO NOT attend Playgroups, Daycare, and Dog Park until you have observed your dog for at least 10 days. This is generally the length of time that symptoms will arise after exposure.

• Daycare
• Boarding
• Grooming
• Group Play / Dog Park visit
• Training Classes
• Swimming pool event

While we do require the Bordetella vaccine, we do wish to remind everyone that despite having vaccinations such as Bordetella, dogs can still get sick from a virus or bacteria that we simply cannot vaccinate for (like colds in people).

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call us, we would be happy to answer them. We appreciate everyone’s help and diligence during this time.
