Henry AKC Golden Retrievers is devoted to providing families with a great family dog. Welcome to Henry AKC Goldens! We have not looked back since.

We are excited about this new opportunity that has been a fun, exciting yet fulfilling venture for our family. We have always loved the golden breed for so many reasons, intelligent, compassionate, loving, people-pleasing breed...just to name a few. Back in 2012 we began our search for our next golden. After countless hours of searching humane societies and rescue groups, we were unable to come up

with the perfect fit for us. Either we couldn't find a pure bred golden or we had to have them fenced in. Neither was to our preference and decided to purchase our first AKC golden, Bella. She has been an amazing dog and can always be found close to our side. Bella had her 1st litter on December 9, 2013 with a healthy beautiful litter of 10. After such a wonderful experience and her being such a good dam, we are planning on breeding her again at this time. We hope you can take a few minutes to view our page! Thanks for stopping by!

Update on Luca - Shaffer Family

Luca and the girls enjoyed their snow day!! It was so much fun watching their happiness with him. He brought smiles to all of our faces!
He really has been such a great dog. He is extremely smart and calm with all of the attention he gets from the girls with no barking. We can’t thank you enough for the addition to our family!!

Still driving 2 hours for each laser treatment 2-3 times a week and soaking her foot in betadine daily… but it’s healing! ❤️‍🩹

Harper Mae sliced her toe wide open sometime in the last two days. Not sure if it was getting in/out of the truck Wednesday or the crate or what happened buttttt, it’s deep in the pocket 😞…

She limped around yesterday morning/afternoon (her bottom of her paw looked visibly fine when I looked at them in the am) but by the evening it bled at some point and she was actively trying to keep it clean.

Laser therapy, betadine soaking, antibiotics and then re-evaluating on Wednesday to see if we need to suture, laser again and if we need to change her protocol. Dr. Tim didn’t want to suture it up in the event we closed in bacteria and ended up with a bigger problem such as an abscess.

I just love how happy she is and willing to let them mess with it without any sedation. She is such a kind soul.

Goldens are the best! 💓 But I think a majority of you already know that!

Day 1 of being home… 🕺🏻 Yes we breed them to be cute and SMART!!! Shoutout to the Rutgers Family for pushing Hank 💚 mentally!! A great way to make them tired too!!

We’re just dream makers over here! Just kidding 😂, their parents are! These three young ladies got a HUGE surprise today!! Congrats to the Shaffer girls on their new playmate, Luca! I’d be lying if I didn’t say that surprises are my favorite. ❤️ We had 3 families surprise their kiddos with puppies in this group!

Introducing food! They will be 4 weeks today and tomorrow!! 😊

As we prepare to begin the weaning process, Lily no longer sits or lays for the puppies to nurse. Yes… she stands up 😂 while they nurse on their haunches. And little man can’t reach 😂. So he is getting special feedings every day to ensure he is getting his fill! Both litters have been introduced to dry kibble and are loving it 😍!! These next few weeks are the most time consuming for us as we begin the potty training process. With 19 puppies, let the fun begin!!! 😂
