Proudly offered for in house 1/4 or 1/2 lease: Vanna
Hunter Hills is proud to offer Vanna, a 15.3 19 y/o tb jumper mare for an in-house half or quarter lease.
Vanna is an older mare who is the absolute best teacher for someone looking to learn the ropes and show in the lower level 2’3” and 2’6” jumpers/equitation. She is quick, honest, and extremely easy! She is always in the top ribbons and has more tricolored ribbons then she can count. She has both auto lead changes and loves her people.
She is looking for someone who wants to be her person and who wants to do a couple local level shows this summer and have a ton of fun. You literally must smile when you ride her!
Hunter Hills operates out of a top of the line facility in West Olive, Mi and has a welcoming hunter/jumper lesson program. We can offer trials if you are interested in seeing if it’s the right match!
Introducing: Olivia Wright!!
@livvywright_02
How long have you been riding: I have been riding for 10 or so years! 🐎
Tell me about your horse: I am currently horseless, but I am fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to ride my amazing barn-mates horses and to ride on my ihsa team at college! 🔥💥🔥
What’s your favorite class to show in: I love to show in the jumpers 🌪️ (you will never catch me voluntarily in a flat class) 😅
Any goals for next show season: My goal for next show season is to keep having fun and be more consistent! 💪🏼
Biggest learning from this year or best piece of advice you’ve gotten? This past year I learned how important it is to not put too much pressure on yourself and just have fun riding!💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻
Intoducing: Briella Meiste! :)
@bmm.horses
How long have you been riding? I’ve been riding 10 years🩵
Tell me about your horse: just started a lease on Miss Vanna, she’s a 19 year old thoroughbred and she’s too cute 🤗
What’s your favorite class to show in? Nowadays I love to show in the jumpers classes 🔥🔥🔥🔥
What’s your horses love language? I’m discovering Vannas love language is head scratches and of course just quality time. 👯♀️💆🏻♀️
Any goals for next show season? My goals include being able to stay consistent and move up in height 💫💫
Biggest learning from this year or best piece of advice you’ve gotten? It’s good to stay true to your purpose, know and love why you do what you do 🩷🌸
Introducing: Brette Gonda!!!
@brettegonda
How long have you been riding? I did walk trot at my first 4H fair when I was 3 on a sweet pony named Brandy. I grew up showing Arabians and started hunter/jumper lessons later in my twenties.
Tell me about your horse Nina: Nina is the type of gal who will make you love mares! 👯♀️ She is all about attention and treats and is just a sweetheart. I’ve been so lucky to half lease her for this past year! 🎀
What’s Nina’s favorite class to show in? Equitation over fences with a little extra shot of pumpkin spice 🎃 (aka, equitation but make it fast!). She also likes the jumpers with her mom but we haven’t tried that yet! 🔥
What’s Nina’s love language? Treats, boys, and quality time. 💅🏼🧖🏼♀️💃🏻🕺🏻🤭
Any goals for next show season? Nina and I got around with a lot more confidence this year and next year I want to work on cleaning everything up and making it pretty- especially in the hunters. Getting the step with a nice even pace ❤️. It’s fun riding a horse that can play in all 3 rings because there’s always something to learn! 🌟🌟
Biggest learning from this year or best piece of advice you’ve gotten? My bad habit is tipping my shoulders at the base, especially if the distance isn’t quite there. Nic has really helped me understand what effect this has on the horse’s ability to make it over the jump and that is helping me to do it less and less. 🎉🪩
