The rescue needs funds to help continue to do this amazing work! This Past Week national organization Jordan's Way took over RI with their Facebook Live fundraiser, smashing fundraising goals for rescues around the state. Rhode Home Rescue was asked to participate this Saturday, July 22, and broadcasted live on Facebook from Rumford Pet Express in East Providence.
Fundraising antics included throwing pies, a dunk tank donated by Bow Chicka Wow Town of Warwick, treating the dogs to puppachinos, and even dying hair and shaving the legs AND HEADS of brave volunteers!
Rhode Home Rescue's Fundraiser through Jordan's Way lasts through Wednesday and folks can still donate to help them crush their goals at the link below, or via Paypal or Venmo.

Tundra and Rainey have been two of the easiest foster pups I've had! Thank goodness because they also been the one of the longest houseguests.. puppies are usually scooped up quick and I've had these guys going on three weeks!! They are housetrained, crate trained and good with everything! Dogs, cats and kids! They even love sneaking in baby kisses when they can. Please share to help these pups find their forever home. As of May 6th Passion Fur Pets will be closed every other Saturday to allow myself and staff some extra time with our families this summer ☀️ It's likely we will resume a normal schedule after summer but for now we will be closed the following dates.

We’re Here For The Dogs 5th Annual Pawliday Giving Drive!
This holiday season, consider “adopting” a shelter pet and help local rescues gain the supplies they need to operate this year!

The tree is up!! Please consider stopping by or reaching out to us to pick up your ornament. On this ornament you will find the name of an adoptable rescue pup along with a few items that they are wishing for this holiday season. You can shop your rescue pups Christmas list and bring the donations back to us to be delivered to the local rescues for Christmas. You can also scan the QR code for some more info on your pup. Weeeeere back! We had over 70 messages and voicemails to return from our vacation time. I THINK I have got back to everybody who text or messaged us on Facebook(Google/yelp) or called and left a voicemail. We had many missed calls without a voicemail left. I do typically return these calls but there is just too many for me to return from last week. Passion Fur Pets Grooming is hiring for the position of Assistant Dog Groomer at our salon located at 205 Washington St., West Warwick
* Must be 18 years or older
* Passion for animals and the well-being of pets
* Willingness to be educated about the products and services offered
* Must be able and willing to handle all types of dogs
* Must be able to maintain a positive attitude
* Ability to perform physical labor including ability to lift and place a large dog in a grooming tub and on grooming table.
* Ability to sympathetically and patiently work with pets who may be stressed or fearful
* Regular attendance and timeliness are an essential function in order to fulfill the requirements of this position. Tuesday through Saturday 8 AM to 4PM availability (out by 3 usually) 

As you master bathing and grooming skills and techniques you will have the opportunity to take on more grooming responsibilities. The journey to becoming a groomer begins with the basics.

* Washing and prepping pets for grooming
* Warmly greeting and welcoming customers and their pets
* Providing nail trims, ear cleanings and tooth brushing
* Recognizing any unusual condition or abnormal pet behavior and bring these concerns to the attending groomer.
* Reunite pets with their owners after grooming and ensure that every pet is finished to Passion Fur Pets standard and is accompanied by its personal belongings
* Help with keeping the salon clean and sanitary

Mr. Peanut Butter and his new soon to be sister Bubbles came in today for a spa day. Bubbles goal today was to make sure she met and kissed every dog! These two were meant to be!
Mr.PB was adopted several weeks ago and now he gets a sister of his own! His parents are “fostering to adopt” which is a great way to both help a pup in need and have the opportunity to see if that particular pup is a good fit for your home before you commit to adoption. I mentioned to Rumford Pet Express that we are accepting donations for the West Warwick animal shelter and boy did they come through! I loaded up my entire SUV today with so many donations for the dogs and cats. Thank you Kayla and Rumford Pet for your generous donation to the shelter. The shelter staff as well as the pups I’m sure were very grateful🐾💜

🚨 West Warwick residents rabies clinic🚨

Just a reminder the shelter will be hosting a rabies clinic for residents of the Town of West Warwick, the clinic will be held April 16th 9a.m-12p.m at our shelter 106 Hay street it is 15$ cash only! Dogs must be on a leash, aggressive dogs muzzled and cats must be in a carrier ONLY!!! No cats in blankets only secure Carriers or cages! Hope to see you there 🐱🐶
