We provide a transitional place for cats awaiting their permanent home. We are a place of recuperation and treatment for those with medical problems or injuries, and those in need of social rehabilitation prior to placement into their permanent home. In some cases, we become the final home for those who cannot be adopted due to age or illness. We try to provide the most homelike environment possib
le for our cats. We are an adoption agency for the cats we rescue. Prior to adoption, every cat is spayed/neutered, tested, and vaccinated. Any cat with injuries or medical problems is treated. We do our best to match the needs and personality of the cat with those of the adopter. We want our cats and adopters to thrive together for the rest of their lives. We share the goal of reducing the number of stray cats with many other groups and agencies. To help achieve this goal, we are strong advocates of feline sterilization. A female cat can have up to four litters a year, with each litter averaging 4-6 kittens. So just ONE female cat can produce over TWENTY additional cats in a single year. There are not enough homes or shelters to accommodate all these cats, resulting in the euthanasia of hundreds of thousands of wonderful cats and kittens every year. Like most animal welfare non-profit groups, our volunteers receive no monetary compensation for their efforts. Many personally help to support the cats in their care. We are completely dependent on donations from the community to provide for our cats and to continue the rescue work that gets them off the street and into a home where they are loved. They all deserve this - that stray cat out there could be your long lost cat - help us help them! Please consider a contribution and please consider adoption!
