Meet Fluffy

This gorgeous boy is Fluffy! As his name implies, he is soft and fluffy and is sweet as can be! Not to mention a total Lovebug! Very friendly and always smiling, this stunning flat-coat retriever/aussie/mix absolutely adores people and will likely greet you with a little tap dance followed by a hug! . His multi-color coat is gorgeous and has beautiful, soulful brown /amber colored eyes. Fluffy is great with kids and loves to romp and play with the other doggies in his foster home. He enjoys going for walks and does well on leash overall but will pull a bit if he sees something that interests him. Fluffy loves car rides and is a wonderful co-pilot! He is always up for an adventure especially if it includes a stop at the drive through for a Pup Cup! If you’re looking for a cuddle buddy, look no further! He has mastered the art of cuddly couch potato and can’t wait to snuggle up with you! Fluffy is approximately 6 years old and weighs in at 50 #. Just an all around happy, go-lucky boy, with a great temperament, who will make a fantastic addition to most any type/size family.

***Yogi is officially adopted and doing well in his new home!!! We know there is nothing but good things ahead for him! From the streets of San Antonio Tx this boy really lucked out to find his forever home and have a wonderful life where is is loved and cared for by people who truly love him!❤️❤️

Meet Yogi

This handsome boy has the most adorable beard is as sweet and friendly as can be! Yogi is a 4-5 year old schnauzer/shepherd mix that can’t wait to be your best friend! Although he can be a bit shy and submissive at first, he quickly warms up and becomes one of the happiest dogs you will ever meet! Great with people and kids of all ages and dog friendly! Yogi is medium energy and has a mellow, easy-going, temperament. A true companion dog, he loves to be around his people and adjusts easily to new situations and experiences. Walks, car rides, dog friendly patios? Yogi is your guy! Just a wonderful all around dog that will be great addition to any size/type of family. Yogi is completely house trained and although crate trained as well, does not need to be.

While in our care Yogi has been fully vetted, is UTD on all vaccines and preventatives, heartworm tested, neuteted and microchipped.

Zuma now Oliver has officially been adopted and living his best life with his new mom and dad and sister. We couldn’t be more excited to know this little guy will have an amazing life full of love and attention!! Happy life Oliver!!❤️❤️

Meet Zuma! This cutie patootie is a 5-6 month Shih Tzu mix. He is a small little guy that weighs in at 12 # and we expect that he will be in the 15-16 # range whem full grown. He is looking for his forever home where he will get all the love and attention that he deserves. Zuma is a friendly little dude that will quickly become your shadow. He loves to play with toys, be your lap buddy and best friend. He loves to explore see what “trouble” he can get in. Lol He has mininal leash training but should do great with some practice and guidance. He loves kids of all ages and other dogs but has never been around cats but our guess is he will just want to play with them too! Zuma is crate and potty trained but will need patience in that area while he gets used to his new surroundings and routine.

Update - we have raised $320 so far and thank you to those that have donated We are $400 away from meeting our transport goal!!!!

Hunter’s Hope Dog Rescue pulled Nala from the released list, Yogi was abandoned by another rescue, and Marshall and Zuma were part of a mom and puppies surrendered to us from a citizen in San Antonio who was trying to help the mom when she ended up being pregnant. Aren’t they adorable and so lucky to have fosters that stepped up to help them. Now we need to get them to Ohio area as they are ready for their forever homes. We have a last minute opportunity to out them in transport and move them sooner and need some help with deferring the costs so we don’t dip into our medical funds.

Please if you could spare some transport money we would forever be grateful and get to leave this city for better days. We have covered all their vetting and health certs. Transport is $185 per crate so $740. I know we can raise this money and get them in this transport

Yesterday marked the beginning of Benny Hill's new life, formerly known as Rocky, and his mother couldn't be more thrilled. He will cohabitate with a lively cat and her son, enjoying regular stair-climbing excursions for added affection. With a multitude of new playthings and comforts, Benny is poised for a happy, fulfilling existence. We wish Benny all the best in his new home, knowing he will receive boundless love. ❤️ ❤️🐾

Adopted!!!! Happy life Lucy and congrats to her new family

Meet Lucy

This beautiful girl has a smile that will brighten any day! Lucy is a 2 year old, 48 #, mix breed, likely a Carolina Dog, Lab, Husky, with possible shepherd in the mix. She can be a little shy around new people but once she warms up, her silly and playful personality quickly comes out. Lucy is living in a foster home that includes children and other dogs and does great with both. She enjoys doing a few zoomies and romping around the yard with her doggie pals but also loves a good afternoon snooze! Looking for a pup that likes to cuddle and snuggle? Lucy is your girl!

She is completely housebroken but is also used to going in her crate when we leave the house. We have been working on her leash skills. She walks pretty well, but may pull a bit if she is trying to sniff or explore something faster than you are walking, but overall, is getting the hang of it. She is very easy going girl who wants to be around and please her person(s). Lucy was in pretty rough shape when we pulled her from a high kill shelter back in March. Time and lots of love and she is a completely different dog and is so deserving of a loving, forever home of her own. She will be a wonderful companion and addition to the lucky family that adopts her!

Update:

Zuma and Rocky have been adopted and doing wonderful in their new homes. Marshall is pending adoption and waiting for his new mom to return from a trip to finalize his paperwork. These boys have truly blossomed and are just fun and now have amazing homes and families to share their lives with We couldn’t be happier for each of them and their new families as we know they will get all the love and attention they deserve!!❤️

Paw Patrol boys coming soon!!!!

The adorable boys are now ready to move to their forever families. These boys were born April 22, 2024 and we were asked to help when they were 11 weeks old and had not been given one vaccine and were covered in fleas. They now have had 3 dhpp vaccines, rabies, bordatella, neutered , dewormed, started on preventatives and microchipped. They have been no paws on ground till now so we are working on potty training so more work will still be needed Their current foster has done an amazing job and they are now with one of the rescue directors to begin their adoption ads and search for their new families.

Marshall being the runt of the litter has a huge feisty personality and ready to play and keep up with his bigger brothers. Zuma is the largest of the 3 and is always excited to see you and loves to play but also just hang out with you. Rocky is always playing with toys and loves tug of war with his brothers or with his person but he too can just hang out. They are just happy for attention and love. They have been semi crate trained but typically are hanging with their brothers in a play yard area seeing what trouble they can cause.

These cute boys who are Shih Tzu and probably won’t be bigger then 15 # would like nothing more then to be in a place they can call home and bond with their new families. Based on what we were told dad was a cream Shih Tzu and mom is a black and white Shih Tzu who is with another foster and finishing up her vetting tomorrow. Both mom and dad are right under 15 #. The mom had a litter of 5 male puppies and finder kept one and we took mom and 4 boys. One boy was a foster to adopt and already in his perfect loving home and very much loved.

Bernardo is officially adopted!!! He and his family are over the moon for each other. Happy life Bernie!!!❤️❤️

Ohio bound and has arrived looking for his new family

Hey guys! I’m Bernardo, but I usually go by Bernie. I’m a sweet, gentle soul that loves everyone and I have the most adorable underbite and little chiclet teeth! I’m 3 years old and I appear to be a true mutt as far as my breed is concerned, but best guess from my vet is Pointer, Lab, and Australian Cattle dog are in the mix. I can be shy at first but once I’m comfortable, I will be your shadow. I like to spend my days lounging around, getting pets, and watching my humans. I am potty trained, good on a leash, and ride well in a car. Did I mention I absolutely adore children? and you don’t have to worry about me jumping up or knocking them over either. I’m well behaved so you can take me anywhere….dog friendly patio restaurant, anyone? I am good in a crate, but I don’t need one as I am the perfect doggo with or without supervision! As far as barking, so far, I am very quiet, I’m not even sure if I know how to make those barking sounds that my friends make as I haven’t tried that yet. I have a lot of doggy friends in my current foster home and I am very nice to all of them, even the cranky ones. Everyone I have met says what a great dog I am and how lucky my new family will be to have me! Not sure what that means but I do know I’m not high energy….I’m quite content with a leisurely walk, laying on the deck watching my surroundings, and snuggle time with my people! If you’re looking for a laid-back companion who enjoys being a couch potato, complete with kisses and cuddles, I may be the perfect dog for you!

We are in urgent need of medium to large dog fosters. Please contact us immediately if you can provide care for our furry friends until they’re adopted! We need fosters in and around San Antonio, TX or Cleveland, OH. We are happy to provide a kennel, food , treats, etc plus we pay all medical including monthly preventatives.

We are facing a crisis and numerous dogs are being placed in boarding as current fosters can’t help any longer or original fosters flaked. Your help is crucial in ensuring they get what’s needed to help them get ready for adoption and for their mental health. We would love to work together to make a difference in their lives!

Update:

We are so happy Pennynis officially adopted and will be living her very best life with her new family. They are more than excited to make Penny their new family member and she will be the queen of the La Casa!!!

Meet Penny!!!!

Penny is a sweet, gentle soul with an adorable and contagious smile. She is a 5 year old shepherd/hound mix and weighs 38 #....the perfect medium size dog….not too big; not too small. Penny loves people and will approach you with a wagging tail but can be a little shy and submissive at first. Does great with kids and loves to be outside checking out all the new smells. Penny is all about being around people and attaches easily. She will follow you anywhere and is happy just being by your side but can easily hang in a crate if needed. She loves her belly rubs, being petted and gives the best kisses. Penny enjoys walks and does well on leash. Car rides have been easy but sometimes loud road sounds can make her nervous. Penny loves her toys however she tends to destroy any with a squeaker as the ultimate goal is to find it. Penny lives with other dogs in her foster home and does fine with them but doesn’t engage in play. She is much more interested in her people would rather be the center of your attention! She is completely house trained, crate trained and would love nothing more than a family to call her own. Penny is a wonderful all-around dog and very easy going! If you’re looking for a 4 legged best friend and loyal companion, Penny can’t wait to meet you!

Look who is ready for adoption!! MEET INDI!!!!

Indi is a big ol’ lovebug with a gorgeous soft fluffy coat and soulful eyes! This guy is sweet as can be and greets everyone with a big tail wag! He is a 3 yo, Flatcoat Retriever/Chow mix. He has been living in a foster home that includes kids and other resident dogs. Indi loves attention and will gently lean against you when he wants some loving. Great with adults and kids! Indi is dog friendly but prefers ones that are more on the laid back side. His list of favorites includes car rides, couch cuddles, walks, and romping around in the fenced in backyard. Does well on leash and would love to accompany you anywhere dogs are welcome! He gets a lot of compliments and pets when out and about! When he is in his comfort zone you can find him on his back with his legs up snoozing away. Indi is both house and crate trained. If you are looking for a best friend and companion, Indi just might be the new furry family member you have been waiting for!
