Bitter sweet to say good bye to the Tater Tot but he found a great home! Thank you Shelby Steed for brokering the sale but more importantly thank you for believing in him and taking to Top 10 placings in BOTH his classes at the ARHA WORLD SHOW!!! With less than 90 days made sure the Tater Tot was a winner and put $$$ on his daddy’s record. Truly appreciated and grateful.

Every one of our horses born and raised at the crib are special and this was our “first born” in more than a decade. We’ll always love the TATER TOT!!!! 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

Frankie fulfilled all of my personal aspirations in the horse show world in one ride. Everything after that was a combination of his God given ability, talent and two gifted trainers who harnessed and guided his talents to accomplishments that 15 years later STILL have not been matched! He deserves the NRHA Hall of Fame

I embarked on a breeding journey with Frankie mainly because I felt HIS greatness deserved a spot amongst Reining’s finest; NOT for my own recognition.

While I knew what the general reining community thought of Appaloosas (and reveled in every major event where he placed above the “good” ones), it has always befuddle me the lack of “mainstream “ Appaloosa Reining support for him, as I support them. I just knew this most outstanding individual with performance and pedigree was what would uplift and bring legitimacy to the breed in reining. That did not happen.

I know that every one of his babies that makes it to the show pen has been a winner. Most of those have been owned not by our family. For those of you who believe, thank you.

I know raising babies is hard from conception, to feeding and veterinarian care, and certainly through training and campaigning a show horse. It is a luxury and hobby and I appreciate each and every one of you who have embarked on that journey with Frankie’s blood in your horse.

Frankie is 19 and only in the last 5-7 years have I felt I have figured out how to best market and breed him. We’ve kept him available to the public as long as we could. He is in great shape physicality and there are some things I wish to accomplish with my dear friend and spirit; the breeding was never my goal or intent but a sense of obligation to the breed and him. His legacy.

For all those who said he was a “freak”, once in a lifetime Appaloosa; they were right about the second part for me. Frankie is a stallion where the owner doesn’t matter; it was always about this remarkable individual and his deserving to leave his mark in his breed and Reining.

That said, we are significantly pulling back his public availability next year. If I owe you a breeding, it will be honored. There will be only 2 auctions that we participate in going forward. Everyone else, y’all gotta have a conversation with me and you need to have a defined plan for that baby.

We now have show age babies that are making it through training and, since I am not getting any younger either, need to concentrate on THE GOAL; to get one of his get to a major NRHA event finals just like daddy! That journey requires me to get back n shape and a lot of $$$$ but we will achieve it.

Again I am thankful, humbled and grateful to all who have breed, bought, supported and hated on this GREAT horse and his accomplishments. Time to have fun again!!!👍🏾💪🏾👊🏾✊🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥
