Bramble playing in her foster home
Fostering changes lives.
Bramble, a stray with an unknown past, was lucky to find a foster home. Because of this opportunity, we learned that she enjoys playing with other dogs, learns new things quickly, loves to play with toys, and going out for walks.
Now, she's eagerly waiting to meet her forever family.
Meet her today by starting with an application👇

Do you know this dog? We know he came from an unknown shelter in Kentucky and perhaps was on a transport when he got lost in our community. We hope by sharing his video we can connect him to the local rescue organization that was trying to transfer him up here. His name was Tanner at the the previous shelter and he is neutered. If you have any information please send us a message or call our office at 630-407-2800.
All these pups want is their Christmas wish to come true - a new home!
View these sweet faces as they are about to receive a special treat. All these dogs are available for adoption or foster. DM us to find out more!
***Update-in a temporary foster home but needs a new foster soon or even better, adopter
The emotional lives of the dogs in our shelter is something we take very seriously. When we receive dogs like Chestnut, shown in the video, we know we have to act fast.
Chestnut struggles going back into his kennel after staff or volunteers have spent time with him. He whines, cries, jumps at the kennel walls and then today we discovered he could jump them.
Housing Chestnut is almost impossible to do safely. He could hurt himself in a number of ways attempting to escape his kennel. But it's not just himself he could hurt, he could jump into another dog's kennel, he could jump out while another dog is coming into or out of the room. Chestnut cannot have a kennel room all to himself because he knows how to open the doorhandle. If we try to enter the room he bolts, this is a safety issue of the other animals in the shelter.
Here is the silver lining: Chestnut, once settled, loves affection. He is super sweet and loves being with his people. He is super dog friendly and enjoys playing.
He needs a foster, a rescue partner or an adopter. He needs it now and we need your help to make that happen. Help us share his story to cast the widest net we can.
Thank you for always being there for our most at need pets ♥
Chestnut is an adult male, age undetermined at this time, ~50-65lbs, dog friendly, unknown history with cats, unknown history with kids.

A foster saved this young Dalmatian
About a week ago we shared a picture of Mindy attempting to climb out of her kennel due to stress. Today she is relaxing in a foster home, enjoying the sun on her face and playing in the yard.
We are so grateful for the foster home that opened up their home to this precious soul and the community of passionate animal lovers that shared her story. We would not be able to do this life-saving work without YOU💕
Mindy is available for adoption. Her ideal home would have another doggie friend to play with, a home with lots of toys, and of course a big, soft comfy bed.

Tina (Big dog) and Lola (Little dog) are both still waiting for their adoptive families. Tina is a bit unsure around other large dogs but she loves the littles! Lola is a playful pup that tries to get a dog or cat to play with her. They would both do well in homes with children 👶
Both girls are anxiously awaiting to go home with you. So stop procrastinating and fill out an app right now👇
