Dogs and cats must be at least 8 weeks old and weigh at least 2 pounds to be elligible for surgery. Clinic opens at 8am both days. We willl do more surgeries on Saturday, so there will be limited spots available on Sunday. This is first come, first served. There will be a $20 copay, which will include spay/neuter, vaccinations, dewormer and flea/tick preventative. You will drop off your pet in the morning, and we'll call with a pick up time after they are done with their surgery.

We will vaccinate animals if they are already spayed or neutered. If your pet just needs vaccines, please plan to come after 10am, so you don't have to wait in line with the people checking in animals for surgery. There will be a $10 copay for vaccines and/or any of the other non-surgical services.

You must be from our service area to attend this clinic. We will turn you away if you drive from farther away.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to the animals at our Humane Society. We are dedicated to providing a safe environment for domestic dogs and cats until a new home is found.

Job Type: Part Time

Shift:
Evenings 7pm-9pm Weekdays & Weekends
Mornings 7am-11am Weekdays & Weekends
Various Shifts available
Must be available on Holidays

Duties:
-Provide daily care and attention to animals including feeding, watering, and exercise
-Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas to maintain a clean and safe environment
-Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff
-Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to management
-Maintain accurate records of animal care, medications, and treatments

Experience & Skills:
-Self-motivation and initiative with an overall LOVE, CARE and KNOWLEDGE of animals
-Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not required
-Knowledge of basic animal care practices and procedures is a plus
-Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
-Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately
-Proficiency in dog handling and animal behavior
-Knowledge of veterinary procedures is a plus
-Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift 40 plus pounds
-Must have reliable transportation to and from work location
-Must be 18 years of age or older
