And, that’s a wrap! 🎉 2021 was an exiting year for our nonprofit — our first on the ground project came to life. Vital Vessel Project has been a big vision of mine for 3 years, that’s always been about bringing wellness to the people with equity! This crucial part of it is just the beginning and will help increase food access in Tillamook County. It also provides product for Vital Vessel Meal Prep, which has some exciting growth coming as well! But for now: we celebrate this! Our new greenhouse is up (in the snow!) and ready to go. Now to accessorize and get my seeds ordered for spring. I literally cannot wait! Thank you Tillamook People's Utility District for your generous grant! And thank you Julianne L. Johnson for offering to house us on your amazing land! It wouldn’t have been possible without your belief in our project and your support. 2022, here we come!

Happy to report we are finally getting the greenhouse built after many delays, woohoo! We are so thrilled and also grateful for the skills of Jonathan from Forest Ocean Property Care. Definitely check them out if you’re a North Coastie. My mind is ablaze with all the wonderful food we are going to grow for our community! 🥬🥒🥔🫑🥕🌽🍓🫐🌶🧄🍠

Last weekend we put up a temporary deer/elk fence around the middle of the farm and set the stakes for the greenhouse. Today we continue the greenhouse build! Big thanks last week to and for the help! 💪🏼

Hi, I’m Alaya. Founder of and its first on-the-ground, funded project .
I’m an holistic nutritionist + chef by trade, and a new farmer on the Oregon Coast. I’m also studying to be an Ayurvedic Practitioner so that I can deepen my skills and offerings as a holistic health practitioner, using food and herbs as medicine, eventually right from my own farm.
It’s a dream to be able to work on this farm project and know it’s something that will eventually bring greater food security and wellness to my community.
