Talking with a few friends who've been around a few decades we've come up with the conclusion Tangerines are today's normals. Though extremely beautiful, they do not command the market attention as in decades prior. With that being said the days of high dollar Tangs have really gone. Time for a reality check!

"What is a Leopard Gecko Preservation Breeder?"

A Preservation Breeder. breeds strictly to the Leopard Geckos standard of genetics. Pairing "for themselves" first, not to just produce hatchlings and make money...actually, a preservation breeder rarely makes profit off of pairings with all the care, maintenance needs, feed and utility bills associated with proper husbandry. This doesn't include the special requirements needed for shipping safely, transportation costs etc...

Each pairing is carefully and thoughtfully planned not just for the "here and now" but for generations to come. A Preservation Breeder will usually keep "hold backs" from every pairing...after all, they are producing for themselves. Majority will "grow hatchlings out" instead of rushing to sell out of the egg.
