๐ŸŒŸ VET TECHNICIAN SPOTLIGHT ๐ŸŒŸ

Tamee, a graduate from West Virginia Northern with a degree in Human Services started her passion with animals long ago. She has worked with several rescue and shelter organizations for many many years. From transporting, trapping, to rescuing animals herself, she has become a major advocate for the ones in need. She is a true โ€œvoice for the voicelessโ€ and a strong advocate for Pitbulls.

When Tamee is not working at the clinic, she also has a full time job at TJMaxx, spending time at animal shelters, taking care of all her rescue pups and cats, and spending time with her parents, 2 daughters, and granddaughter!

Tamee started at our clinic early April and has become a huge aspect to the clinic. From our certified post op surgery cuddler to being our โ€œdog whispererโ€ She has a way of showing kindness and compassion where it is needed most. She is very familiar with animalโ€™s body language, behaviors , and how to approach every situation. She is always eager to learn a new skill and is so grateful for everything Dr. Sparling has taught her so far! We are so thankful to have such a wonderful and passionate person in our crew.rg

Better late than never Vet Technician Appreciation Week:

๐ŸŒŸ VET TECHNICIAN SPOTLIGHT: ๐ŸŒŸ

Amelia Bell, graduated from West Virginia University in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and a minor in Biology. She didnโ€™t realize she wanted to become a veterinarian until the second semester of her junior year, a decision that came later than most, but one that completely changed her career path. Although she graduated, her major didnโ€™t cover all of the requirements for veterinary school, so she is currently taking additional courses at West Liberty University to complete those prerequisites.

Amelia first came to Elm Grove Animal Hospital in May as a shadow to explore the field and see if it was truly the right fit for me. She officially joined the team in June, and she loved working here ever since! Dr. Sparling has taught her so much, and every day brings new opportunities to learn and grow. Although working in veterinary medicine can be challenging and sometimes emotional, she found it incredibly rewarding and fulfilling.

Outside of work, Amelia enjoys reading, spending time with her three dogs (Maggie, Lily, and Ellie), hanging out with friends, playing Minecraft, and attending Bible study. Amelia is so thankful to Elm Grove Animal Hospital for giving her the opportunity to learn, grow, and be part of such a compassionate team.
