Better late than never Vet Technician Appreciation Week:
๐ VET TECHNICIAN SPOTLIGHT: ๐
Amelia Bell, graduated from West Virginia University in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and a minor in Biology. She didnโt realize she wanted to become a veterinarian until the second semester of her junior year, a decision that came later than most, but one that completely changed her career path. Although she graduated, her major didnโt cover all of the requirements for veterinary school, so she is currently taking additional courses at West Liberty University to complete those prerequisites.
Amelia first came to Elm Grove Animal Hospital in May as a shadow to explore the field and see if it was truly the right fit for me. She officially joined the team in June, and she loved working here ever since! Dr. Sparling has taught her so much, and every day brings new opportunities to learn and grow. Although working in veterinary medicine can be challenging and sometimes emotional, she found it incredibly rewarding and fulfilling.
Outside of work, Amelia enjoys reading, spending time with her three dogs (Maggie, Lily, and Ellie), hanging out with friends, playing Minecraft, and attending Bible study. Amelia is so thankful to Elm Grove Animal Hospital for giving her the opportunity to learn, grow, and be part of such a compassionate team.
