For anyone that believes that an English Bulldog puppy is over priced, you should know what all go's into breading them. First, they can not bread naturally! They have to be artificially inseminated. The female has to have her progesterone tested ($$) (sometimes multiple times) to be sure she is inseminated at the most likely point of fertilization. The vet has to extract the "male specimen". ( that is, if you didn't aquire the specimen via the shipping($$$)) then the female has to be inseminated($$$) without a guarantee of pregnancy. If pregnancy is confirmed, week's later through ultrasound($$) you have to schedule a c-section, because of how narrow this breads hips are, it is to risky for them to have a natural birth. And about a week-2 weeks out you have to start having the females progesterone levels tested to be sure she won't be going into labor early($$$). Then the c-section ($$$$)!!!! Then the 6 week check up on the puppies + first shots($$$). Also there AKC registration papers($$). And none of the ($$) I represented in this, even mentions what the at home care costs for mom and babies is. The care and maintenance of these babies is a full time job. They are not cheep to perchance because they were not cheep to bring into the world. There also not cheep to own! This bread is one you should read up on before you decide to own one. They are worth it if you can afford them!
