Underwater Treadmill Rehabilitation
Bullet is working hard to be ready for summer fun! Bullet had surgery to repair a torn ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) on his left stifle in March. Unfortunately he then tore his ACl on the right side and had another surgery in April. It is estimated that dogs who tear one knee have a 40-60% chance of injuring the opposite knee as well. Bullet is working in the underwater treadmill to regain strength in both knees.

In the realm of physical rehabilitation and injury recovery hydrotherapy has been a game changer. We are incredibly lucky to be able to offer this awesome therapy for pets in the valley. Our trained rehabilitation veterinarians build a rehab plan customized to each pets specific needs.
The underwater treadmill is beneficial for post surgery rehab, physical conditioning, weight loss and degenerative conditions such as osteoarthritis.
-The natural buoyancy of the water assists in a low impact, but high intensity workouts.
-The water is kept at a warm therapeutic temperature to loosen muscles and tendons and soothe sore joints.
-Water depth can be adjusted to provide optimal resistance and help build muscle mass.
-Incline is also an added bonus for strengthening.
Our model Abbey is currently utilizing the treadmill for cruciate ligament disease and weight loss. She is a champ! 🐾
