JLC’s Mocha Moose 🫎

This buck is out of JLC’s Wella X JLC’s Doggonit (last picture). Wella placed 4th in 6/8 doe and 3rd in the roaster class at Californian Nationals. Plus she has 6 legs. Doggonit was one of my favorite herd bucks from 2025. Unfortunately, we lost him unexpectedly recently, and this is one of the last bucks that carries his lineage. His lines circle back to the BEST buck I’ve ever had. Mocha Moose placed 18th in the junior buck class with an unfinished coat at ARBA Nationals this past fall. His littermate, JLC’s Golden Glow, placed 10th the junior doe class.

During 2025 my goal was to expand my New Zealand herd. I wanted to see better consistency throughout my litters. I wanted to work on improving their top lines and the density throughout their coats. I am very pleased with the outcome. All seven New Zealand’s I held onto this summer did very well on the tables. 4 of them placed in the top 20 at nationals. Check out the herd bucks for 2026. 😊🎀

Happy Monday! It’s my first day back to work after the holidays. Northern Michigan gave us another 5-6 inches of snow last night. We have gotten 18+ inches of snow already this winter. 😳 I was up early this morning to feed and check for babies. I pulled out some stock I plan to breed relatively soon. I had some huge losses in my barn, which has caused the urgency to breed.

The rabbits here have 2 week old twin goats as roommates for a while. Between me tripping over them 37 times and their little zoomies, they add a lot of chaos around here.

Lillian’s Benefit Sale is now live to accept bids. She starts chemotherapy this morning. I can say with pride that she is taking all this like a champ. Just yesterday she was dancing around the living room pretending to jam to an air guitar. If you haven’t had a chance to look at the sale selection, you can do so below. 🙂

Thank you 🙏 to all the donors that graciously reached out to help. It’s a weird time trying to help when you know there’s not much you can do. Hopefully this will bring them a little less stress so they can focus on what truly matters. I know Lillian will kick cancers ass. She is the strongest 4 year old that I know and I get the pleasure of calling her my niece.

JLC's Malibu Martini is out of Moll's Down The Stretch and SC's SCNZ69. She placed 6th out of 83 Junior white does at ARBA National Convention in November of 2025. Currently selling with a half pedigree, I am missing the sire's half. She has been very competitive all fall on the show table across Michigan below are her results:

JLC's Mocha Moose is out of JLC's Wella ( 6 legs + National placer x2 at the 2024 Californian Breed Nationals) and JLC's Doggonit. His lines include JLC, MAC, JAR, etc. He placed 18th in the Junior buck class at the 2025 ARBA National Convention in Indiana.

Bred, owned, and donated by myself here at JLC's Rabbitry. Will work with transport at buyer expense. He can also be picked up at the State 4-H Rabbit Show on January 24th or at the MSRBA Spring Convention. Both shows are located in East Lansing, MI.

The sale will be on 32auctions starting Monday, January 5th at 8:00AM and will end Friday, January 9th at 8:00 PM. The link to the sale will be posted once the site in finalized.
