We are the proud parents of a tripod Pit bull named Samson. He came into our lives has a dog for our neighbor. He didn’t give him much attention and one day he got out. We couldn’t find him for nearly four months. We had put out flyers and contacted th Lost and Found pets in our area. Then finally we got a call from the animal shelter here that they had found him. His right front leg was injured from what looked like a car hitting him.
Then the process began on getting him out of the shelter since he wasn’t our dog. Our neighbor surrendered him to us and with the help of the dog lover community here in Texas, got the money together to have him checked out a the vet. That is when we found out that the leg was going to have to amputated. We are blessed by the animal lovers here they came with more than enough for the surgery and his follow up.
We had to wait a couple of months because of COVID 19 before they could do the surgery. The one blessing that came from that was he had a chance to get adjusted to three legs prior to the surgery. His recovery was quick in that aspect and his energy level never waned.
