The intermediate training group had a productive day. Two dogs made their mall debut, and by the session's close, the entire group was comfortably using escalators and elevators.
We're putting the Weimaraner/St. Poodle mix pups from Anderson Acres 2018 through their paces today to see if they've got what it takes to join our service dog program - we are excited! Anderson Acres 2018
Thank you US Military WarDogs for another great evening of baseball and honoring veterans. You guys are doing amazing things, and we've been honored to be a part of it this week. Our veteran Jennifer Trzicky-Lervold and her service dog Rebel were honored last night in Great Bend.
Thank you to US Military WarDogs for all that you do, and Celebration of Freedom for your generous donation to our program. We cannot thank you enough. Our veterans are very grateful for their new service dogs bred by Anderson Acres 2018. You all make it possible for us to pair and train service dogs with veterans and first responders.
Some pictures of training today. This was the first outing to the mall for three of these teams. We worked on their food refusal (with strangers offering food) and did some escalator work. We're very proud of all of our veterans and the progress they are making.
We are doing an online auction for each of these tumblers. Starting today and ending Wed the 6th at 5pm. In the comments below we have posted pics of the individual cups for you to bid under. The larger cup is 40 oz. and the smaller is 20 oz. (There is no reserve)Thank you for your support.
A couple of our veteran service dog teams did terrific on the escalators yesterday. We dont want the dogs to be afraid of the escalators so we take our time and teach the handler the best way to approach training them, so the dog walks on with confidence. Well done ladies.
A few pictures from our last few training sessions. We have several new teams, and we are excited to help them learn and grow together.
