This is the text we got this morning from Dr. Millard… our flight gets in to Wichita tomorrow at 10 PM. Chris and I will drive up to Overland Park on Wednesday morning to greet our sweet Molly Mae.
We will take her to Trista‘s house and I’ll stay there with her for a week before we actually bring her back home.

“Good Morning! Molly is doing very well. She is eating on her own! Removing abdominal drain today. Feeding tube removed. Stats are all good!!”

4th UPDATE: Friday…. We just got the update from the doctor. Molly has been vomiting some from her tube feedings and she's aspirated into her lungs so she's developed pneumonia.
So they have cut back the continuous feeding through the feeding tube and they're doing it every three hours and then stopping it for an hour. When it is stopped, they suction any fluid that is left in her stomach so that she won't aspirate or vomit anymore.

Dr. Millard Said that there isn't any evidence that her intestines are leaking so that is good news. Her was 102.1 which is within normal range so the antibiotics are working to combat the infection.

She said that it's likely Molly will need to be there at least until Monday. She is making progress but it is slower than expected for being 3 1/2 years old.

3rd UDPATE: hello All, it’s Thursday evening. Molly is rec covering at an expected pace. Her doctor checks in with us each morning and updates as as far as her progress is going. As of now, it looks as though she will be there at least until Saturday. They are continuing antibiotic treatment in hopes that the sepsis will be eliminated. We can’t thank y’all enough for your thoughts and prayers. It’s tough being so far away from her and not having steady cell service here while we’re on vacation.
We’ve checked in with Sydni, our dog/house sitter and everything is going smoothly with the crew! 

2nd UPDATE: her surgery lasted 3 hours but she made it through it. Dr. Millard was able to find the area of her intestines that was leaking from her surgery on Saturday and cleaned as much as he could as she’s got lesions all over her outer intestines. They’ve placed a feeding tube to get nutrients in her and she’s on six antibiotics to combat the sepsis.

UPDATE: Molly went into surgery about 7:30. The vet did let us know that she is pretty sick at this point. It’s likely that she will be there for a few days as she recovers. The vet will call us once they’re finished with surgery to let us know how everything went. 

Hey Golden family, we need prayers for Molly once again…she had emergency surgery on Saturday for another blockage. She has taken a turn for the worse and is on her way to Overland Park for another surgery tonight.
Please just keep her in your prayers.

The black lab is Lucy, that’s our son’s dog.

To all the hard working mothers out there . Happy Mother’s Day!!! All the hard work you have put into raising your children. You deserve to always be noticed!!! I thank God for the one that He sent me!!! I definitely don’t deserve her. Jessie works so hard to provide a loving home and goes unnoticed but she still does the hard work!!! Thank you babe for all you do!!! YOU ARE TRULY AMAZING!!!

I took four pups to school on Monday! We visited Rose Hill Middle School and it was such a beautiful experience. Our first stop was a visit to the special needs classroom then off to the office to greet many of the staff and administrators. It was a great socialization experience for our pups!
Afterward, we visited one of our Golden Families who are soon to be parents of one of the boys in this litter. What a blessed day!!

Anddddd they’re off! Our pups are six weeks old now and had their shots yesterday so today is their first time going outdoors!! They’ve been allowed to have free roam of the house for a while today and they seemed to really enjoy it, I love this part of being a breeder, milestones are so important and making sure that they are prepared for them is my responsibility. I’m really happy with how their first day of free rein has gone.💛🐾💛
