Training tip; success builds on success.

If your dog can't do it in the living room, they aren't ready for the driveway.

If your dog can't do it in the driveway, they aren't ready for the sidewalk.

If they can't do in on the sidewalk, they aren't ready for around the block...

Slow is fast. Take your time and break it down into easy successful progressions.

October 1 marks our 23rd Anniversary! As most of you know, this is a bittersweet anniversary for K9Capers; we will be closing our day program center at the end of this month.

What a special, heartwarming and awesome 23 years it's been. I have been personally blessed with more than two decades of caring for so many amazing dogs and their special people. While it hasn't been without it's trials, the overwhelming majority of that time has been truly inspiring and joy filled.

Thank you each and every one of our fantastic canine families, past and present, for making this chapter of my life one of my greatest memories and achievements. I can't begin to tell you how much each of you has changed my life! Not a single one of you will ever be forgotten. I am so appreciative of you having shared your family member, and I feel honored by the faith and trust you extended.

Our last day program day will be Tuesday, October 29th, with an EARLY close of 3:30pm.

** Many boarding places and veterinarians in the area are seeing kennel cough right now, t'is the season. Please monitor for signs of sneezing, coughing or runny nose and keep your pup home if you notice. Let's see if we can avoid it hitting us too! Thank you all, I've missed everyone! I can't wait to see everyone when we open back up tomorrow!!
