Clients needing CVIs for the Oklahoma Youth Expo--

We are now able to complete CVIs for OYE. You must have a CVI with OYE listed as the destination; any previous CVIs for regional/local shows will not be accepted by OYE. Please review the following information to ensure timely completion of your CVI. After hours/late notice requests may result in a delay or additional fees.

You may submit your request by either text (918-917-9725) or email ([email protected]). PLEASE state your name or your child’s name in your request as we are unable to save everyone’s info!

When making your request please provide the following information for all species you are taking: Age, breed/color, s*x, and official identification.

Cattle— ALL cattle attending OYE are required to have an 840 tag number regardless of breed or s*x. Steers must also provide their OYE tag numbers. There will be no CVIs completed with OYE tag number alone.

Sheep/Goats— When listing the scrapie tag number please include all letters and numbers listed on the tag. Only including the larger numbers across the bottom of some tags is incomplete identification. All sheep and goats must have an OYE tag number listed with the exception of purebred ewes.

Swine— Please provide a list of the ear notches, breed, and s*x for the pigs you are taking along with their OYE tag number. You may notate the pigs you are taking on your pseudo papers and list their OYE tag numbers in the remarks and submit a photo for your request.

If you have any questions please reach out to Dr. Hall.

Although I technically started a little earlier, three years ago on December 8, 2020 all the paperwork was signed and Deep South Veterinary Solutions was an officially recognized business. Since that time there’s been thousands of cattle pregged, countless calls about show animals off feed, and too many memories to count. I always say being a veterinarian is a humbling profession; no two cases are ever the same and unfortunately I’ve yet to have a patient tell me what’s wrong. Even more humbling is having clients that trust me with the care of animals that are part of their livelihood, members of the family, major investments, and their kid’s livestock projects. For that, and for the ability to live out my dream job everyday I cannot say thank you enough. Here’s to heifers having unassisted calving, show pigs not limping, and sheep not choking. I look forward to serving you in year 4! Xoxo- Doc
