Courtesy post! One of our previous adopters is looking for a home for dog she has cared for that was thrown out of a car as a puppy. Unfortunately he’s not getting along with a few of the male dogs in the home and the best decision is to rehome him so he can have a happy safe home. No negative comments!

Cash is a spirited sweet boy estimated to be around 7-8 months old who was thrown out of a truck at 3am with his sister when they were just puppies. I call him my parkour potato because when he gets the zoomies you’ll be amazed at how this chunky body can move. Cash loves to play and chew on his toys, even the toughest toys have seen their end from him, however I believe he’s a bit dog selective and skeptical of outside dogs right now. I do 100% believe that with some extra training and the focus being on him that he can get over that because he’s still very young. He has good manners but when he’s excited he’s like a rocket that just launched, and when he knows it’s time to go for a walk he’s a speed demon to the door. He’s crate trained, potty trained with an occasional accident, and he LOVES food. He’s possibly the most food motivated dog I’ve ever seen. I love this boy with all my heart and want him to have the best life and the best home that’s going to set him up for success and a long a social doggy life. I have a crate for him, and he’s fixed and up to date on all shots and flea and heartworm meds. He’s a precious and cuddly boy who just needs someone to reassure him through some extra training that outside dogs are friends.

Eva crossed the rainbow 🌈 bridge surrounded by those that loved her. Her last two years on earth she knew nothing but love and was spoiled rotten. It was sad to let her go but she can breathe easy now.
She loved lizard hunting and playing with her fur brother Rexy. We were looking for a furever home for Eva when she had found one herself all along.
Eva left this earth eating all the chocolates and getting all the loves. We are going to miss that sweet old pup. Rest easy pretty girl. Tell the rest of the Sunny Pits crew over the bridge we said hello and we miss them.

Today we say goodbye to our Eva. We need help raising the funds to do a private cremation. If you can help with that we would greatly appreciate it.

We received news no one ever wants to hear. Eva’s lungs are at the end stage. The heartworms have finally caused enough damage it’s time for us to say goodbye to our sweet Eva. Thursday her foster family will be accompanying us to the vet clinic to say our final farewells as she crosses the rainbow bridge.
We’ve had Eva in rescue for over two years now. Our intentions were to pull her fully vet her kill those heartworms and find her a furever home. However at her very first vet visit we learned her lungs may not be able to handle heartworm treatment. After steroids and antibiotics we repeated x rays to confirm our fears she was not a candidate for heartworm treatment.
Since then her foster family has loved her like one of their own spoiling her. Letting her live out her senior days like the queen she is. 2 years ago she came to us as a stray she will leave this earth knowing nothing but love and kindness.
If you can help towards Eva’s final expenses we would greatly appreciate it. Eva is a total sweetheart and anyone that meets her falls in love with her.

Miss Fiona is looking for her furever home! She’s 3 years old, she is deaf but don’t look past her because of that. She is very smart! She does get along with other animals and would do best with low energy dogs. She’s is currently working on confidence with her foster but would benefit from working with her furever person!

It’s with a very sad heart we have to let everyone know Tendie passed away early this morning. We thought he was making great improvements. However his time here on this earth was a short one. He has now joined the rest of our Sunny Pits crew across the rainbow bridge 🌈 I’m so sorry Tendie run free sweet one 😭

Ranch is asking if you would please help donate towards all the big dogs in the rescue annual visits, and Eva’s visit yesterday for her ear and skin infection. We’re down to $1,300 due for everyone. Anything extra will go towards Eva’s dental that is needed to get a tooth pulled.

Eva’s fosters noticed her ears were bothering her. They reached out to us and asked if they could bring her into the vets office. We got her on the schedule she was coming due for annual vaccines anyway.
Poor girl has an ear infection and a skin infection on her paws. Today’s annual visit became very costly for our senior girl. We learned she’s also going to need a dental as one of her very back teeth needs to removed.
Today’s visit totaled $850 for all her annual stuff shots, exam, senior blood panel, plus all of her stuff needed for her ear infection and skin infection. Later a dental estimate will be sent to us. We will have to raise the funds for that.
As of right now we owe the vet $1,500 for Eva and getting all of our other long term residents up to date on their yearly vaccines.

Eventually my husband will learn to stop telling me after a certain date I can get more dogs in rescue. Yes I need the break with my autoimmune diseases. However when two 11 day old puppies need your help you set aside your needs to help them survive by any means necessary.
After the mom passed away and 3 of the litter mates we couldn’t let these two boys pass away too. We’re giving it everything we got to make sure they are Christmas miracles. Fluids administered, bottles given, cuddles underway and a nice warm bed for these babies.
