Holiday season is HERE! Lets keep your bunny safe.
🎄Contrary to popular belief, pine trees are actually safe to nibble on with caution. But ONLY if you can ensure they were not treated with flame retardant, fertilizer, pesticides, herbicides, paints, or fragrances. Compounds in the pine needles may turn your rabbit's urine a darker color, which is no cause for concern. Do not allow bun to drink water from the tree stand. Pine needles are sharp and can get stuck in the gums, tongue, mouth, or esophagus. Obviously, you don't want to let your rabbit chew on an artificial tree, any ornaments, low hanging lights, tinsel, or garland.
🕎Keep candles high enough above where your rabbit can't reach them. Try to avoid heavily scented candles, as it may irritate their respiratory system.
🎅If your bun has stranger danger, don't be afraid to lay down some ground rules for guests. Don't let anyone pick bun up. Sequester bun to a spare room if necessary, and turn on a fan, radio, or air purifier to drown out any loud noises.
🎁Bows, ribbons, decorative bags, glitter, and tape don't make for good chew toys, but they are appealing! Try to wrap gifts away from your rabbit. If you want your bun to join in the holiday spirit, we have given them plain white tissue paper or the paper rolls to play with!
🌱Poinsettias, holly, mistletoe, holiday cacti, amaryllis, and potpourri should all be avoided. Some are mildly irritating if invested, while others are incredibly toxic.
❄️ Most buns love to dig in snow! We bring in a tub of it for them to safely play.

Bonus points if you can spot both rabbits!
