What did your bun get for Christmas?🎄
Our last bun in the spotlight is from our little junkyard family. Unfortunately, little Grumps is not longer with us.
She was born in the rescue after her mom Terra took a 3 hour drive to a foster's home in active labor. Mom wasn't making milk, so we needed to syringe feed the babies. We lost 2 deformed babies within the first two weeks. Little Grumps was doing so well. Playful, hungry, mischievous, and hitting all of her mile stones. Until one morning, her brother Marble left us. She decided she needed to go too.
She had the sweetest little grump face. She looked so disapproving, but was anything but. We are so happy that she lived her short life in a safe, warm home, surrounded by her siblings and so, so much love.
This is why we do what we do. We'll break our hearts 1000 times over to ensure that theirs never do. Thank you all for supporting us over the years. We love you all.🫶

We are grateful to work alongside other rescues, and have an amazing team of vets. Sid's amputation wouldn't have been possible without Miss Bunny’s Menagerie or Exotic Animal Hospital of Pennsylvania - EAHP. This was taken about 3 weeks after her surgery!
We are ALL OUT of baby pellets, and almost out of adult pellets! If anyone can help;

We are CLOSED for owner surrenders...unless they've been paralyzed from a dog bite and went without vet care and was abandoned by their owner.
Meet Artemis. Huge thank you to Haven for sponsoring her. We need to have her seen immediately. We need funds.

We get numerous surrender requests from people stating that they can't keep their rabbit(s) due to a new baby. And we're sure many of you out there might be wondering if babies and bunnies can mix. The answer is...
ABSOLUTELY! Just ask BBI alumni Mira and Momiji and their 5 month old baby sister (don't worry, we're sharing this content with the approval of their momma) and they'll all say things are great. The only complaint we've received from Mira and Momiji is that the baby has tons of neat toys but they aren't allowed to play with them. 😂
Not only is it beneficial for the baby health-wise (https://www.nih.gov/news-events/nih-research-matters/infant-exposure-pet-pest-allergens-may-reduce-asthma-risk) but it also gives parents a great opportunity to model good pet care behavior. So the next time you hear someone say they need to give up a pet because of a new baby, gently remind them to do better. For everyone's sake.
Trying to get the Office Manager to take photos with some items to announce our upcoming auction has proven to be difficult. Anyone that wins this banana tray with the highest bid, please be advised that it was 'signed' by Maddy 😒
We'll start ours shortly after Bunlandia's!

'Why did you name them Barker and Wobbles?'
Great question, glad you asked. Barker barks and Wobbles is wobbly. Here is an example of both 🥹
Wobbles and Marble always hung out together while Barker and Grumps zoomed around. They would lean on each other for support, and groom each other when they lost their balance and fell over. I like to think they were encouraging each other to get up.
While Barker and Wobs absolutely love each other, they are two totally different bunnies. I often find Wobs snuggling and grooming his stuffie. I can't help but think he misses Marble. I certainly do.
