Update: I found the perfect home for Terra 😊

Terra is a very sweet and affectionate girl once she gets to know you. She has been properly introduced to gunfire and has been started this fall hunting. She is still developing her search and confidence when hunting in the field or forest. We have enjoyed raising her and think she would be best suited for a family with another dog. Canyon enjoyed the evening out doing a training session. It was beautiful work, and she definitely had fun! And she sure is starting to show on her 6th week pregnant 🥰

One thing I love about this breed is how they are great at finding down game, even if it is someone else's bird 😆 Canyon found this pheasant that was not found by another hunter and retrieved it to me.

Canyon will be a new mommy in a little over 5 weeks. I'm super excited for everyone who will be getting one of Canyon's puppies. 🥰

A couple of firsts this week. My first Woodcock and my first Ruffed Grouse!!!

Thank you to the managed PA timber harvests that have been done in the state forests. Without them, Grouse habitat would be even more limited.

I am so proud of my girls and how well they are learning the grouse woods. This is Denver's third time and Nikki's first. We had so many bird contacts, and I finally connected with one!

First morning on the prairie, and we got skunked! Literally 🦨 Denver had a spa day 😆 Thank goodness for friends having deskunk mix on hand. This was my first encounter ever. It was bound to happen one day when owning hunting dogs.

But I got my first prairie chicken with Denver and Canyon! Overall, it's a good start in South Dakota! And now a stinky funny memory.

I am beyond proud of my girl, Denver! We ran the NAVHDA Utility Test today and received a Prize 1 and maximum score of 204!!

It has been such a long year training my dogs for this test! Thank you so much to Dan Grachen, who helped point me in the right direction with training and worked with me and my dogs all summer. Thank you to my husband, who also helped me with bird dog training and supporting me through this. Now on to training for the invitational next year!

A little appreciation post to my husband, Mike Harrington. Not only does he help me with all the bird dog training and raising puppies, but he also was the one who gave me the crazy idea to become a breeder.

I don't know how, but he knew what I wanted to do with my life. He has supported me every step of the way. I am so thankful that he saw what I was passionate about and pointed me in the right direction. I am forever grateful that he spoke up and pushed me to follow my dreams.

Also, I think he likes the puppies 😆
