Brush Dale's Ultimate Beauty (Canyon) is working on steadiness as we prepare for this fall's Utility Test with NAVHDA.
A little appreciation post to my husband, Mike Harrington. Not only does he help me with all the bird dog training and raising puppies, but he also was the one who gave me the crazy idea to become a breeder.
I don't know how, but he knew what I wanted to do with my life. He has supported me every step of the way. I am so thankful that he saw what I was passionate about and pointed me in the right direction. I am forever grateful that he spoke up and pushed me to follow my dreams.
Also, I think he likes the puppies 😆

Went for a nice stroll around the pond after we did some duck search training. Canyon and Denver will be testing this fall for the Utility Test.
We brought along Archie as well! He enjoyed the kayak ride but also wanted to jump right into the water with the girls 😅
Teddy went to his new home yesterday. We are so excited for Chris Clifton and can't wait to see what he does with his handsome puppy!
Teddy slept most of his way home to Wisconsin and only cried once when he had to go potty. What a good little boy!

The 3 puppies of Buckwood's Brush Dale YY and ZZ litters went to their new homes yesterday!
We are very excited to have these boys as potential stud dogs on the east coast. Thank you to Michelle Wilbers at Brush Dale Kennels!! I can't wait to see you all grow up into handsome boys!

These two boys are such brave and outgoing puppies! I put something new down, and they go right to it and check it out. They hear a weird noise, they look at that direction, then go investigate.
I am excited for their new families to enjoy them ❤️
Our next planned litter will be between our girl, Canyon, and the stud dog, Jackson. This breeding is planned for the end of September. Jackson will be going to the 2024 NAVHDA invitational in Iowa.

Our foundation dog to our kennel! Denver is the sweetest girl! She loves everyone she meets! And definitely brightens our day, every day. We are so thankful to have this girl and can't wait till she has a female puppy we can add to our kennel. We want to create (as close to possible) another Denver ❤️
These two are 3 weeks old! Eyes and ears are open. They both did so well going through the Early Neurological Stimulation and now are starting to cruise around!

Our A litter has arrived!! Two males!
We have been keeping this news to ourselves ever since we found out Denver was still pregnant. A couple of weeks ago, we noticed her putting on a little weight and took her into the vet. We had an x-ray done, and it showed 2 puppies! Mom and puppies are doing well 🥰
We had a successful day running the NAVHDA Natural Ability Test. Prize 1 with a maximum score of 112. Great job, Nikki!!

Unfortunately, Denver has failed her pregnancy. 😕
Not the news I wanted, but at least Denver is healthy and isn't having any complications. We will be trying to breed her again this fall/winter.

People are always so impressed with how calm the breed is, even as young puppies and dogs. I'm often asked what training I did to get my dog to be that well-behaved and calm. Well, I really didn't do much! Such an easy dog to train and have in your home. And better yet, a great versatile hunting breed! We love our Small Munsterlanders!
Next week, our Denver girl will be bred to Brush Dale's Cheap Shot (Lovec)!
We are so excited for this pairing! Puppies will be here in May 🤞😊
