Sweet Conan is now here at Murphy's Law and looking for a furever home! He is a wonderful boy that is still so young and full of puppyhood. He will make a wonderful addition to any family. He is 9 months old and reportedly a purebred, however there is no documentation leading to that and Murphy's Law Rescue never promises or guarantees any breed status.

His adoption fee is $300.

He is microchipped, utd on vaccines to include rabies and has his neuter scheduled.

Amber had her babies! Six little teensies. 2 girls and 4 boys! This has been the most emotional and awe inspiring birth we have had here at Murphy's Law Rescue...

I was at work when she began labor - on my way home my last update was 5 babies.

When I got home I went to Amber's cage and there was a little orange kitten still in the sac. He did not look to be alive and was not breathing, cold to the touch. I ripped open the sac and started to agitate the rib cage with a sort of back and forth finger rub. I included a few first aid type pushes - very carefully and appropriate for the size (it sounds rough to type but really was size appropriate). Anyway, the little one gave one gasp after about 20 seconds of this. Then nothing, for what felt like forever. Then finally another random gasp. Momma is semi-feral and was not pleased with us being that close. At this point David arrives and I have him run for one of the sterile suture kits (bought specifically for cord cutting - prior experience has led to this purchase) He cuts the cord, I pull the little sweet out of the cage and in a soft blanket and I continue to agitate the little ribs (back and forth rubs only at this point). David goes to fill a hot water bottle. The little soul was so cold. David arrives with the hot water bottle, I place him on there and continue to rub. He was only sporadically gasping for breaths - nothing any MD would call breathing on any doctor show I have ever watched.

There we sat, on the couch in the livingroom of the house with this tiny little baby gasping and struggling to live. I am trying to resolve myself for the fact that he will soon have his last breath.

10 minutes go by and his gasping is becoming more frequent and regular.

Another 5 minutes and there was a tiny mew.

Another 5 minutes and he lifted his head!

David immediately goes to make a small batch of formula - there was no way he could go with the rest at this point - he was not physically strong enough. We get about a cc and a half of formula in him and leave him on the hot water bottle for about another 10 minutes.

Then I nudged him a bit and he was notably stronger.

We then pulled the other 5 from momma - and placed him alone with her.

The others hung out on the hot water bottle and got their newborn photo op done. (We placed dabs of food coloring on them to tell them all apart) and then placed all 6 with her.

He was latched on when we checked in on him about 30 minutes later.

The emotion that surged through me - not to mention that rush that I am still feeling is beyond anything I have ever felt before.

I know he is very very far from out of the woods - there is another little teensie in this litter that is a tad smaller than him and does not look as strong as the other four either. They are latching and momma is attentive, so we decided not to pull them from her at this time.

I am prepared to wake up tomorrow (or even discover tonight at the last check before bed) that he (or the other little) passed. But I will be focusing on the positive and the wonderful intervention that I was a part of tonight.

The little sweetheart in this story is Jasper - the other little one that is struggling is Tiny Tiger. The other 4 appear to be at the typical in strength and activity.

Sweet Charley was adopted today! She's such a timid and scared young lady we thought it best not to stress her and her new momma with a photo op.

She went to a wonderful, conpassionate and quiet household!

Today's new intake - this handsome and sweet 9 month old Black Lab came to us as an owner surrender after his original owner became a full time caretaker for his wife with dementia. This boy did nothing wrong - life simply got in the way. He is a very active and energetic young man. He does need a bit of training as he has a bad habit of jumpbing up on people. But he is all love and all lab. He is currently a foster in place with a kind friend of the surrendering owner - however idealy he will find a wonderful foster to adopt home (adoption only pending neuter appointment). While I do not yet have his records he is said to be up to date on vaccines as well as "papered" purebred lab.

Timid and shy little Amber. She is still very pregnant and does not appear to be close to delivering yet (no milk yet). She has sneaked out of her little enclosure a few times this last week and while we did have to catch her - she was not aggressive about it at all. She is still scared, but still let's me hang out and allows for habitat cleaning and food and water to arrive without any fuss.

Our little bottle babies are doing well! They were upgraded to a new habitat today with a litter box and food and water dishes - no dice on the eating though, lol, and they didn't even take to the canned food either. But they are growing and growing with diligent bottle feedings!

They are very cute and very sweet - they are starting to explore their immediate surroundings!

Sweet Permilla and Erastus are still looking for their furever homes. These babies are so sweet and lovable - they do not need to be sitting in rescue.

Sweet momma Orion and her wonderful teensies. Babies are one week old today! And they are doing so well! Little Luna is an overachiever and has her little eyes wide open already! Orion is as much of a sweet and laid back young lady as she has ever been. I just love this family.

This weeks Seinfeld update! Momma is getting more and more used to us - we no longer have any hisses and she purrs with pets and belly rubs! But she still prefers that we do not lift or carry her anywhere...

The babies - - oy where do I begin. They are the absolutely cutest! I mean, they slay me with their cuteness. They are just such fuzzy little round cuties! They also roll over and purr for belly tickles and are simply divine.

Kitten Season 2022 is in full swing here at Murphy's Law Rescue. We have 5 bottle babies here with us, 7 bottle babies in foster, 1 pregnant kitty and 2 nursing mommas with a combined 9 kittens between them... not to mention the 5 month old boy and two adults in our care! Below is our Amazon wish list - any and all kitten food (hard and soft) would be greatly appreciated and go to a wonderful and worthy cause (nursing mommas and pregnant cats need kitten chow too).

Also - we still have Ashani and her 9 pups packing away serious puppy chow and sweet Iris on puppy food (she's 10 months old).

While there are many items on the list - kitten food, followed by puppy food, followed by any cheap clumping litter are our top needs at this time.

Catching up on our latest episode of Seinfeld we have Elaine and her littles. She is still scared, and still sweet about it. She is a very good and very protective momma - she will position herself over them if there is too much activity going on. These babies are little chunks! George's coloring is getting a bit darker and dare I even say that he and/or Cosmo might end up being floofs - but it is a bit too early to tell for sure.

Their eyes are (mostly) open and they look nice and healthy!

Sweet Amber is still very scared - and still very pregnant. She is beautiful and sweet - I can't wait to meet her littles. I am curious if she will bring some more color into our home! We have tabbies and greys galore! (and one little orange boy)

Okay - Okay! I know so many of you have been reaching out for updates!

Momma is doing great. She is still so so sweet, but is definitely very protective and attentive. I poked and proded and squeezed around on her when I got home and forgot to get a new photo of her. But... I finally snapped some photos of the sweet little babies.

Without any further ado - she had 4 girls and 2 boys! Names are on the pictures!

Last few adoptions from this weekend and today.

Jelly Bean and Starburst's new family had to send ther photo after the fact (adoption was last Saturday) due to a few of them being under the weather and Peanut Butter went to his new home today (his daddy opted out of the photo shoot) and Nerds found his wonderful furever home today!

Today's new intake! Check out this super cute young man! I am in love!

Thanks to networking with Fu Mo Pittie we were able to find a foster-to-adopt for this squish! He is not looking for a home - I have already spoken to his foster and they have zero intention of letting him out of their lives!

Murphy's Law Rescue is going to finalize the adoption with them once he is fully vetted, vaxed and chipped.

We had some wonderful adoptions today! 6 more pups went to thier new homes and then we received the best news of all Mookie's momma (foster to adopt) has decided that he was too much of a part of the family to ever give up and she made it official! Sweet babies - every last one of them. All of them are starting their wonderful new lives with great new families!

Also - the family that adopted Starburst and Jelly Bean had to leave some members behind that weren't feeling too well so they were going to take their adoption photo from home and send it to us. But it is getting late, and we are sleepy - so they will get their own post at a later date.

We also picked up our little orphans from Tucson. Thank you again Ellese Gudvangen with All Gud Pet Services LLC. These babies needed you and you stepped up to the challenge.

Sadly we were expecting two litters - however our teensie newborn litter of 4 has been reduced to one - and things are not looking great for little Uno. We will keep you all posted and maybe do a photo op tomorrow if things are looking better.

On the plus side the five little 2.5 week olds that had to be surrendered due to their poor little momma having mastitis are fairing well so far. They do have some rather loose stools, however we are hopeful that that is from the change in food and not something of concern. Please pardon the messy appearance - I assure you all, they have since been bathed. However, I am too weary to take new photos and they are not de for another feeding until 10. They need their rest and their warmth - there will be other photos in the near future.

Names are on the photos - naming honors once again went to one of our amazing supporters and donors! It is thanks to all of you that we are able to help the babies we do.

They are growing like crazy - their little personalities are blooming and they are exporing their area and trying to eat big kid food!

Finally sitting down to breathe - what a busy day! And there will be so many posts all abot it - so hang on to your hats!

We will start with an unexpected intake - a litter of seven 3.5 week olds. These littles were surrendered after the family woke up to discover their little momma had died. They suspect the kitty may have been exposed to a toxin - so these babies are on being closely monitored. And a few of them definitely look to be in less than ideal shape. Thank you so so much to Julie Colwell for stepping up and fostering these teensies - we would not have been able to step in without your very kind and generous offer to nurse these bottle babies!

A few little adoptions in the books for today!

Sweet Nutella went to her new furever home with a wonderful mommy and new big sister.

And our wonderful senior, Hodge became a keeper with his foster-to-adopt mommy. (new momma opted to not be in the photo - photo is him relaxed in his new home)

Both of these babies have wonderful new homes that will make them feel loved and spoiled.

On the heels of some sad news this afternoon (more on that tomorrow) I recieved an plea for help locally. A couple that lives on some ranch land just outside of town had a sweet and very pregnant kitty haning out that they have been caring for, however the concern for her and her soon to be babies futures out in the wild (plus they are not here in the summers) prompted them to reach out to us. (she was abandoned by the person that used to live the next property over)

We took her in - I have a hard time saying no to babies, and also to outdoor kitties, a double wammy is a hard one to say no to).

All that being said, I would like to introduce you all to Orion. She is very sweet (she even came here purring and relaxing in the passenger seat of the car - no carrier!) What a laid back little girl. Naming honors (for her and her soon to be babies) were given to our beloved Jo - the unsung hero of Murphy's Law Rescue. This woman transports for us without hesitation or question. She is always willing to lend a hand at the drop of a hat and loves the animals as much as we do. When she is not helping us she is fostering for other rescues, trapping cats for TNR and the list goes on and on...

We love her - and couldn't do half of what we do without her! She came into our lives when I put out a plea for transport assistance years ago (if any of you remember my journey to Yuma for a litter of kittens - that was when it all started!)

It seems that kitten season is already in full swing. So sad, it seems to be steadily getting worse.

I have been in contact with a lovely woman in Mesa since yesterday that found 4 newborn kittens outside with no momma in sight. When the flies started to "settle in" on the little sweets she scooped them p and kept them safe in her home until rescue could be secured. She went out and bought some kmr and did her best by these teensies for 48 hours. We were abot to step in with the help of Ellese with All Gud Pet Services LLC and the babies were picked up by her and heading to her wonderful home/facility to be transported to us this coming Saturday.

But wait - there's more...

As she was still on the road this the 4 newborns we found a despirate call out for another litter of 5 kittens - their momma developed severe mastitis and the vet stated that momma should not go on attempting to nurse those babies as she was in a lot of pain and had open wounds. (Murphy's Law will also be spaying this momma once she is healed) I called Ellese and she didn't even bat an eye - with zero hesitation she said send them on over. 9 babies, in a holding pattern to come to Murphy's Law. We are hoping to introduce one set to our nursing momma Elaine in hopes she will accept them and help us raise them. If not, it's time for us to step up to the bottle baby schedule.

Photos and introductions will follow their arrival on Saturday (spoiler alert - they are teensie and they are cute).
