Wakons Navajo Kisses

Wakons Navajo Kisses Wakons Navajo Kisses is a 2008 Foundation Appaloosa mare standing 15.1hh. She has a gorgeous mane, forelock, and tail. She LOVES LOVES LOVES humans.

She boasts a 100% FPD, which means she is as pure as of an Appaloosa that a person can find in this day and age. Despite having those bragging rights, she surprisingly is jet black with no mottling and spots just a couple small white specks on her face and neck. Kisses is a broke horse that is quite fearless. She is a go-getter out on the trail, where she normally out-walks the rest of the horses

in the group, never hesitating to go over obstacles that she may encounter, including water crossings, logs, and brush. At this point in her life, her main training after initial groundwork/roundpen work has been on the trail, though she’s definitely seen the inside of an arena more than once! She has all the groundwork laid to be a fantastic horse for some lucky person out there-she loads/trailers without a second thought, she bathes, clips, hobbles, ties, etc. easily, and she has all of the buttons programmed to lead at walk or trot, back up, side pass, do forehand and haunch turns-all on the ground or in the saddle. She hasn’t been in a roping chute yet, but has had ropes swung all over/around her and takes it like a champ. She has been camping with us, and high-lines and deals with trail cleaning well. She has a nose like a hound dog, and I have no doubt that if you got lost on her, she would sniff the way home! She was bred once via live cover and had multiple ultrasounds done at that time finding that she was pregnant, but at some point the fetus was resorbed, so she is currently still a maiden mare. Kisses has lived in my pasture with the herd her whole life, but recently was moved to an area for two months that had no other horses in sight, and she never displayed herd-bound tendencies, which I was quite delighted about. All in all, Kisses is a pretty laid-back mare that can be fired up when you want it. She can be testy/pushy at times, but does well with rules and boundaries in place. She’s a snuggler, which I just adore about her. Having to sell her is breaking my heart, but after being divorced for a year and a half, I’m finding I simply cannot support 3 horses on my own with only part-time income, so one must go. Her number comes up because she is the only one I don’t have big future plans for. Kisses has always been my “spare” horse, but I can no longer afford that luxury, especially since she requires shoes year ‘round(when my farrier and husband were one and the same person, that wasn’t a big deal, but now things have changed!). I am REALLY hoping to find Kisses a new home where she will have a job, get worked, and get lots of attention.
