📝 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬:
𝐕𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄 was picked up as a stray on 12/22/24 after it was reported that he was loose with two other dogs. Notes do not indicate who the other dogs are but one of them might be 𝐒𝐀𝐌𝐌𝐘 𝐁𝐎𝐘 (A1986467 who will be on the 1/8 euthanasia list). Notes indicate that he greets staff with a relaxed body, he is easy to leash and he walks on a semi-loose leash with his ears up and a wagging tail! It was noted that he vocalizes toward other dogs and customers that pass by his kennel. Please be the person to give 𝐕𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄 the loving, forever home that he very much deserves!

𝐕𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄 is on the euthanasia list for "Medical (Heartworms) and behavior (forward barking at dogs passing by his kennel, constantly vocalizing towards customers as well when walking by." The shelter will help with heartworm medication if he is adopted through them. His life should not end in the shelter for that reason. 𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 open up your heart and home to 𝐕𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄!

12/23/2024 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Approaching kennel, dog has loose body language standing near kennel door. I opened the kennel leashing him and he walked out the kennel. He walked loosely to the next kennel.
12/28/2024 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Valiente walked with a semi-loose leash, ears up, tail wagging.
01/03/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Placed on adopt evald ue to him constantly vocalizing towards other dogs and customers when they walking by.
01/04/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: When I approached his kennel, Valiente had a relaxed body. He walked on a semi-loose leash to and from the outside runs. While in his kennel, he was forward barking at dogs passing his kennel.
01/05/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: When I approached Mr. Valiente kennel he had a relaxed body, he was easy to leash. He did walk on a semi-loose leash to and from the outside runs at times he would become jumpy against the body. He does bark at dogs as the walk by his kennel.

12/31/2024 BEHAVIOR NOTE: very tense, darting whale eyes, pinned back ears. lowered body. Leashed and head to use baby talk to get her to follow. Followed me slow out to the hallway, once in the hallway she began to pull outside to open door. Once outside she held same body anguage. Relieved herself. and placed into new kennel
01/03/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Tommy was a move adopt this morning. He was afraid to leave his kennel while the hose was on and came out after it was off and I used baby talk. He walked with a loose leash, tense body, tail between his legs, ears back.
01/05/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Tommy was taken out by a volunteer in the am , an ACT had to step in and help out with leashing the dog due to him avoiding the leash . Needs to be leash walk only . I will continue to monitor and work with him. When I approached his kennel to offer enrichment he froze in place and was cowaring over his bedding. I offered some treats but he did not move. 01/05/25 16:01

He is easy to leash and he walks on a loose leash out to the runs where he has been described as friendly and playful with neighboring dogs! He is also heartworm negative. 𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐁𝐄𝐑 is on the euthanasia list for "Behavior: over aroused puppy behavior, possibly stressed as well, painting in kennel, flipping bed over, food and water bowl were inaccessible due to being under the bed, vocal, dilated pupils, jumpy, red board has to be used because he will pull in kennel cover." 12/31/2024 BEHAVIOR NOTE: first day of walk with Caliber, he got wiggly body and jumped on the kennel door when I approach, he was easy to leash, walked with a semi-loose leash, a bit excited, wagging tale, he was playful in the run, run and palsy with other dogs in a friendly manner, the same in the way back to the south, Jumped on the run door when I tried to leash him so I tossed the treats and it worked, walked good with a loose leash.
01/02/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Caliber walked with a loose leash, ears up, tail wagging. Passing kennel, he had pulled in his cover, added board under cover, stood, ears up, tail wagging, eyes dilated, vocalized, lip licked, and put his front paws onto the kennel door.

01/04/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Approaching kennel, Caliber vocalized, jumped onto kennel door, ears up, tail wagging. He walked with a loose leash.
01/05/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Painted in kennel overnight as well as both food bowl and water bowl were under bed. Kurunda bed was also flipped over . Dog is very jumpy and vocal with dilated pupils. I was able to leash him up and he walked out wiggly to the run. Onced he was out there he seemed more relaxed. In kennel he sits on bedding and comes running to kenenl door as I approach his kennel. 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐘 is an beautiful two year old that was turned in as a stray on 9/1/2024. No shelter plea came out for 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐘 yet she is on the euthanasia list for length of stay. There are two behavior notes for 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐘. Staff have said that 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐘 greets at the front of her kennel or at the run gate. She semi-pulls on the leash but is treat motivated. She has gotten a little vocal with another dog but staff gave her a pig ear and that kept her quiet. She needs a family to spend the rest of her life with. She needs a foster, rescue or adopter to save her. You will be helping to save this precious girl's life.

9/10/2024: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Misty greeted me at the front of the kennel door with a tense body, wrinkle forehead, dilated eyes and stiff tail. Misty semi-pulls on the leash but is treat motivated while walking to the outside runs and when walking her to the run I will remove the leash and she will go walking towards the back sniffing around. After cleaning her kennel I walk back out to the run and she was greeting me at the front of the gate. Walking back Misty started eating al the treats that where on the ground. After walking Misty back to her kennel I went to get another dog and notice Misty was forward barking through the divider with another dog. I gave her a pig ear and it kept her quiet for awhile.

9/14/2024: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Misty walked with a semi-tight leash. When passing, she was sleeping on her cot in the afternoon.

📝 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬:
𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐊𝐘 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐊 𝐒𝐍𝐎𝐖 is an adorable guy of sixteen months. He is still a puppy!
He has been going through URI treatment.
His notes go all the back to December 23rd.

He came in as a stray as a one- or two-month-old puppy in December 3rd, 2023.
He was a foster-to-adopt just a few days later on December 17th, 2023.
He was returned January 17th, 2024.
He was adopted January 17th, 2024.
He appears to have been brought back August 31st just two weeks ago.

This sweet guy with the precious face has been flipped flopped one to many times and had his world turned upside down. For whatever the reasons are, he really needs a loving, committed family and caring home that he can spend the rest of his life. Commitment and love are what he needs.
Please adopt or foster this precious boy. In the right environment he will blossom and feel more his self.

12/09/2023 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Move adopt: Today I brought Marky from the runs, he walked slowly and takes treats with soft mouth, he enter to the kennel calmly so I give more treats and the enrichment. He presents soft face and relax body. Wagging tail with the babytalk.
12/13/2023 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Approaching kennel pet is standing at the front with wiggly body and soft eyes. When baby talking to him he begins wagging his tail so hard his entire hind end moves with it, curving his body into a "C" shape. Kept all four on the floor during interaction.
12/15/2023 BEHAVIOR NOTE: pup greeted me with waggign tail and as i approched pup rolled over with wiggly body and once leashed dog stood up
and sat down and as i stepped out the kennel pup pulled back and even when baby talking or treats pup wouldn't get out of the kennel so i carried and placed in encap in the row and due to not walking out the kennel to walk placing on adopt eval.
12/16/2023 BEHAVIOR NOTE: When I approached to his kennel Marky was wagging his tail in the front of the kennel. I tossed treats to leash him up but Marky refuse walks so I carry him until clean his kennel.

Foster reports that they have noticed that Marky Mark started on Wednesday
started to have what looked like dry heaving (producing foam). He is currently
being treated for URI and has been feeling better. They have not been feeding
him as often as they should because of the vomiting foam. The in house
veterinarian stated that he is probably still trying to get his congestion up and will
continue to do that until he feels better. Marky is eating well when offered and
they were told to continue that treatment with a full meal. Ears were cleaned/
Burt's Bees shampoo was suggested.
