We have a 150 x 225 lava sand riding arena which can be ridden in year round. A 50 ft beach sand round pen, a small obstacle course, tack and trailer storage and a hot wash rack. We offer blanketing services, worming schedules, farrier and vet appointment help.

The top picture is how horses are suppose to live…. Room to run, roll and graze all day. This is how we care for our horses. The bottom one…. It looks like horse jail😩 I feel sorry for horses that have to live their lives like this. 😢

We are so blessed that we have "chosen" to make all of our boarding, pasture turnouts. Keeping horses in their own area but able to see other horses, is extremely important. Mentally and physically for the horse. I have always felt bad about other facilities that do not see all the "pros" of choosing money over what's best for the horse. Just saying!
The Pros of Turnout
Here are just a few of the reasons why turnout is so good for the well-being of a horse.
Maintenance of muscle tone and coordination;
Good blood circulation;
Joint lubrication and cartilage development and maintenance;
Structural strength of musculoskeletal tissues, like tendons and ligaments;
Improved bone density, especially in growing foals;
Hoof stimulation to grow strong hoof wall, frogs and soles;
Improved overall condition and fitness;
Fresh air that is beneficial for respiratory health, especially compared to a stall environment;
Improved intestinal motility and health as a result of exercise and intermittent grazing on pasture grass;
An opportunity to blow off steam without hurting a rider;
Time to pal around with other herd members;
Mental calm from being with a herd, able to move around, exercise, and graze at will.

Someone once asked me why I don’t make my horse boarding spaces smaller so I could board more horses? My reply was…. Horses need space to run and graze…. I would hate it myself if I had to stand in a small paddock 24 hrs a day, 365 days a year.… and I am not a horse. So grateful we made the decision when we built this boarding facility to put the horses needs before the profits.

Here is the correct way to lunge a horse. The horse is not pulling on the lead rope.....when finished... the horse is focused on their handler...Of course, just our opinion... 😊

I love watching the interaction between the three of these horses. Ozzie, Chili and Mac. You would never think that Ozzie is 24 years old... running around with a 5 year old and a 3 year old! ❤️

We offer blanketing services, worming schedules, farrier and vet appointment help.We also offer horse training clinics, summer and holiday kids camps and regular horseback riding lessons for everyone. We have two trainers that work out of our facility, Elaine Mancini who has over 35 + years of teaching both English and Western riding lessons. Carlie Scarbery who is a Clinton Anderson (Downunder Horsemanship) Method Ambassador. She can help you and your horse work together at making a better relationship using the Downunder Horsemanship Method. Our staff has years of equine experience and has been servicing the community since 2002.
