All Izzy Wants for Christmas Is a Home

As the holiday season approaches, our hearts ache for one special girl who just wants a place to call her own. Meet Izzy, an incredible 45-pound mixed breed, full of love and longing. She’s been in board and train, waiting for the right fit, but all she dreams of is a cozy home where she can celebrate Christmas surrounded by warmth and affection.

Imagine a mellow evening, football games on TV, Lifetime movies playing softly in the background, and a couch piled high with soft, cozy blankets. That’s the Christmas magic Izzy desires! She’s looking for a dog-free, cat-free haven with someone who understands the beauty of quiet companionship and the joy of snuggling up together.

Are you an empty nester who knows the ache of solitude? Have you lost your beloved companion and feel that void in your heart? Or maybe you have the time and love to help us find Izzy the perfect forever home. She needs to be your one and only; she deserves gentle walks, cozy Netflix nights, and endless cuddles on the couch.

Izzy is an absolute gem: tidy, no mess at all, and she adores car rides and spending quality time with her people. Life has not been kind to her, and it breaks our hearts to see her without a family to love. We're desperate to find her some comfort and joy this Christmas season, and we can't do it without you!

Happy Birthday Henrietta! One of our favorites!
Henrietta is a one-of-a-kind-human! We are so very grateful to bask in her light! Join us in celebrating her!

She’s is always there for the dogs and cats that need extra, the broken, the fearful... After her retirement from saving humans, she’s been full force rescuing the needy pets! (of course she’s a nurse) She’s there when its time to take on the impossible!

As an invaluable member of both Mendo Shelter Pets Rescue and The Humane Society, Henrietta has cared for countless pets in our community!

We are so very grateful for her never-ending commitment, compassion and skill when it comes to the wildly menacing-no-manners puppy or medical cases who needs more. Henrietta always jumps right in, picks up the pieces and molds every Pet she touches into a perfect adventure buddy and life partner.
