Look who found her happily ever after:
Mocha #2 Now Mokatu is so happy in her new forever home!! No more stuck out in the cold with little human contact! Now just warm beds and bunches of love ❤️
Mokatu is here today because a good Samaritan saw something and did something. Fortunately the owners surrendered her and JUST in the knick of time. Poor Mokatu needed emergency surgery for Pyometria and also had a HUGE stone in her bladder.
She would not have survived without help and would have died a painful and lonely death. BUT here she is, now living her best life.
Thank you so much Leslie for saying yes to fostering her and then falling in love with her ❤️❤️❤️
We love you so much Mokatu!!

Hey Everyone, Wednesday here! Thought I would remind you that I'm lookin' for my forever home. Me and my 4 sisters were found hangin' out on the side of the road and we were soooo hungry and scared. We were so happy when someone came and got us but then they brought us to this really loud place. That was kinda scary too, until something called a rescue said they would take us. We didn't know what that meant, but we prayed together that it would be good. Well, then we got sick with something called Parvo.......A really nice lady, Silvia, helped us get better and then we were on our way to a place called Wilmington, where we each went into our foster parent's home.
We got all our doggy shots (YIKES) and went to the doggy doctor a couple of times but now we are all A-OKAY.
My sisters Zoey, Alexis & Sybil are with their new Mamas/Papas but me and Clover are still waiting for our forever families.....
We've only been around on this earth about 4 mos, so we're hoping this world will have a place for us pretty soon......Do you have room for me?? I am super sweet and will really try to be the bestest friend EVER if you help me! Whatchya' think?

Hi Everyone, It's me Gigi. I'm an older gal who is looking for a better life than what I've had so far. I sure hope there's someone out there who doesn't care that I kinda can't see or hear very well. My Mama left me (well someone told me she passed away....I don't know what that means, I just know I was all alone). I was really nervous cuz when you can't see too well and you can't hear what you humans are saying AND you're a little gal like me, the world is a scary place.
I'm with my foster Mama, who I love, and all of her furry friends, but I sure would like a home of my own where I can rest my weary bones. My doggy doctor said that I am healthy, especially cuz I am at least 7 years old. For a pup my size (about 9 lbs) that's kinda young BUT I've had kinda a hard life so it took its toll.
I sure would like to start my new journey soon so I'm hopin' if you're reading this, that you'll see me and how much love I have to give.

A little bit about me.....I'm a youngin' at about 2 years old (that's what my doggie doctor told me), and a little guy (13lbs) with a big personality! I like my little furry foster friends, but the bigger ones.....not so much. They're kinda scary. I LOVE me my hoomans tho! I know how to use the potty outside (geesh who doesn't????) and my doggy doctor said I'm in good shape (HW negative and no nasty parasites in my p**p)! Yaaay me!
Soooo why don't you let my peeps know if you have a space on your couch for me :)! I'll be waiting......

Read this please! PLEASE don't add to supporting the inhumanity of puppy mills! Why is everyone bringing the puppies to NC? Well because we make it easy for them. NO laws preventing retail sales of puppies and kittens and the general public don't know these puppies are coming from puppy mills. PLEASE write the Department of AG and let's STOP making this so easy for these cruel breeders making money hand over fist while we are the 2nd largest state for euthanizing....

Even though a lot of these puppies are sold in small, independent pet stores, they aren’t bred by the pet store owners.

Look who got his Christmas wish. That's right. Enzo now Charlie wish for a furever home came true. He couldn't be any happier. Thank you Chip Phillips for finding for the best companion you could find. I am positive you and Charlie will make wonderful memories together. Happy Holidays

The story of Ghost now known as Bo is a story that truly depicts "It takes a village"

Bo was alone, scared and extremely smart and on the run for almost SIX months! There were so many sightings, but no one could get him until the Lost Dog Recovery team stepped in. With their knowledge, patience, multiple volunteers, leads and the right equipment, The Ghost FINALLY was safe!!
This is nothing less than a miracle. Bo is VERY smart, and although he was suffering in the heat and rains, he avoided humans even tho all were trying to help him.
We don't know Bo's history, but what we do know is that he is resilient, kind, gentle and now in a loving forever home all his own.
We were asked if we could help with medical care once he was safely placed in his future adopters' home. We knew he was HW+ and may have other medical issues given his length of being out on his own.
This is where the village comes in......
We agreed to help and Bo began his medical journey under the watchful eyes of his future adopters Mae & Isaac.
Bo had a rough time with his heartworm treatment BUT I am so excited to say he is DONE and we have every bit of confidence his re-test will be NEGATIVE! Fortunately, he had no other health issues and is currently living the life he never knew would be afforded to him.
Although Bo was not "officially" under rescue with us, we partnered with Lost Dog Rescue to assure he had the medical care covered that he needed in order to become a healthy and happy pup. Special thanks to Pawsability (Brunswick Chapter) for covering his HW treatments; Mae & Isaac for being there for him through his journey to health; College Road Animal Hospital for taking such great care of him; Wilmington Animal Centrix for providing a neuter voucher (pending until able to do safely post HW treatment) AND Lost Dog Recovery because without them, he would still be out on his own, sick and running.
I am sure I have forgotten some folks (see Lost Dog page for more specifics during the trapping process), so I will apologize in advance.
This is an example (one of many) that depicts how a true village really comes together to help the voiceless. EVERY person involved played a critical role in Bo's journey and for that, we are so very grateful!
