Val grew up in Maine, where she rode and showed in barrel racing, pole bending, western pleasure, and hunter under saddle. She first set foot in the show pen when she was just 6 years old, in the lead line class, which she won. Since then, Val has spent the last 19 years successfully riding and showing horses. Val attened the University of Findlay, where she graduated with an Associates of Arts de
gree, with a Western Riding Emphasis. In 2007, she placed 2nd at the IHSA National Championship Show in Intermediate Horsemanship. After graduating from Findlay, Val moved to Montana to work for Jay Dee Anderson, in Wilsall, Mt, where she worked for a year. Val spent the next 4 years employed by Brackett Creek Quarter Horses in Wilsall. In the 4 years Val was employed by BCQH, she showed reining horses successfully. Some accomplishments are; 2008 Hungary Horse Reining Show Rookie Pro Champion, 2008 MRHA Rookie Pro Affiliate Champion, 2009 YRHA Rookie Pro Year-end Champion, 2010 MRHA Rookie Pro Year-end Champion, 2010 YRHA Limited Open Reserve Champ Year-end, 2010 NRHA Mountain Region Affiliate Finals Rookie Pro Champion, 2010 NRHA Mountain Region Affiliate Finals Limited Open Champion, 2011 Big Sky Classic Stallion Stakes Futurity Champion, 2011 High Roller Reining Classic L1 Futurity Champion, 2011 High Roller Reining Classic L2 Futurity Champion, 2011 Big Sky Classic Reserve Champion L2 Derby. Val Specializes in reining training for futurity and derby horses, and giving non pro lessons.
