I know people will say and think, " that was quick, getting another cat" Maybe it is but....this cat needed a home and we are here for them. Welcome 4 year old EGYPT to our family.

It is with much sadness that I have to report that Storm- The Blind Cat passed away shortly after 4:00 am this morning. We don't know what happened. She has what we believe was a urinary tract infection but that seemed to clear up. She was happy the past few days playing with her sister but yesterday my wife noticed she was walking kind of sideways and staggering. Tried to make a vet appointment but ran into the same issue, appointments are three weeks out. I said goodnight to her at 2:00 am, at 4:00 my wife checked on her and she was sleeping on the couch by 6;30 she passed in her sleep. She was 5 years old.
Running an animal rescue brings alot of pain and it Never gets easier. Giving this little lady 5 years of peace was a wonderful gift.
Goodbye our Sweet Angel. Your sight has been restored, go find the others, we'll see you soon.

Good morning and happy Saturday!
Thanks for your prayers 🙏 an positive vibes. I believe I am doing better. Still attempting to get a vet to see me but my bleeding has ceased and I have put some weight back on. My mum and dad think I may have had a urinary tract infection. All in all I'm doing pretty well.

Please say a prayer or send good vibes for Storm The Blind Cat. She's been bleeding for a bit and we assumed that it is a female cycle but now she seems to be in discomfort. Been trying for days to get a vet to call us back but they won't. Some veterinary clinics even claim their not taking new patients. What happened to the days of just bringing your pet to the doctor and they charge you an astronomical fee for a checkup???

Rescued two kittens at work this week. They were in a large dumpster next to my building. They were extremely feral and once I got them out there was no holding on to them. I do not believe they were thrown in there by someone. I assume they smelled food and just jumped in.

Lately a few people have asked us, what is Storms story?: here's her rescue in a condensed story. A few years ago we were on our way to church, taking two cars due to I had to work right after. It was pouring rain and I saw what I thought was a turtle on the side of the road. Me being who I am of course I had to stop and get it off the side of the road to save it. Moments after stopping I realized it was a kitten and I honestly thought she was dead due to her eyes were bulging out of her head. When I picked her up she moved and let out a small meow at that point I knew we had to act fast. My wife was cruising toward us and I'm waving my one hand, my free hand anxiously trying to stop her due to lack of visibility in the rain.
We rushed her back home and wrapped her in a blanket immediately. My bride was able to travel to a local pet store and pick up some kitten formula and my son spent the day slowly feeding her with a syringe. Fast forward a few weeks and she was being prepared for surgery to have her eyes removed due to a set in infection that could be life threatening. We knew the $$$ would be quite high but when we asked the receptionist after the surgery the total$$$, we were informed it was all taken care of. Someone made an anonymous donation. Kinda restored my faith in humanity.....just a bit.
That's her story. We had no idea how to care for a blind cat but honestly, she really does all the work. She's a beautiful little lady and we are so truly blessed to have her in our lives.
