Pardon Layla’s haircut (courtesy of her neighbor who is also an expecting momma) but she’s one of many does that we have due in the next week and a half. Boy oh boy are we excited! Here’s to having some full and healthy nest boxes full of Jersey Wooly, Netherland Dwarf, Mini Rex, and even Mini satin!

We will post the litters once they hit about a week old and we are so excited to see them grow up and hit the show table and see our programs blossom (and enjoy those sweet little faces)!

We had a rockstar weekend at Tomah. It’s always good to see all our rabbit friends and catch up after such a freezing past week.
Rabbit wise we had a pretty solid weekend with all of the Jersey wooly and Mini Rex bringing home some pretty nice compliments for all being molting or needing to molt pretty bad. We decided to bring the singular Tan in the barn along and while she didn’t place it was so fun to see her run and strut her stuff.

Netherland dwarfs really took the cake this weekend with all of them getting some very nice compliments and solid improvements in the breeding that we have been doing were noticed by the judges but the icing on the cake was winning BOS for Show B with our little Broken silver marten doe DMD’s Alcatraz. She’s always been a personal favorite due to her goofy personality but she really shined as she finally grew into herself these past few weeks.

We can’t wait for our next show in Elkhorn coming up next month!

Time for a Flashback Friday with this cute little Netherland!

This is DMD’s Azkaban. She’s from our very first litter of Dwarfs so she’s a special little lady. This little girl has grown so much and we wish we had better photos of her but she placed in the top half of her class of 14 at convention this past October with really positive comments for a Jr. Doe. We are so excited to see how she does as we start getting back to the show this spring with her and her siblings.

4 days till we leave for convention! Carriers are all scrubbed and drying. Next up is raisers, coop cups and carrier cups.

Huge congratulations to our 4-her Allie along with WCW's Bruno who swept the county fair earning Grand Champion Overall Rabbit and Grand Champion Sr Showmanship. This year is Allie’s last year of 4-h, so she went out on top! Allie also had the 2nd and 3rd overall placing rabbits. Second with Film Reel’s Junker Queen, a chocolate silver Marten Mini Rex doe and third with DMD/Film Reel’s Elbow Macaroni, a jr Thrianta doe.
