We still have spots for our upcoming spay/neuter date this coming Monday, July 7th.

Drop off is between 6:15-6:30am in Monroe, WI. Cats will then be transported to the spay/neuter clinic in Madison. They will return to Monroe around 3:30pm for pick up.

This program is for ALL cats - they can come in a carrier or a secured live trap.

"He's not your kid."
As I tuck him in every night.

"He's not your kid."
As I make my breakfast, I scramble him up some eggies and make sure he gets the most important meal of the day.

"He's not your kid."
As I do my laundry, I make sure his blankets/jackets and beddng (he still sleeps with us every night in OUR bed) are also clean.

"He's not your kid."
As I nursed him back to his optimal health the first few months I had him.

"He's not your kid."
As I just changed my entire career and life so I could be home with him more during the days and save for our future because I was sick of seeing him so sad on the furbo.

"He's not your kid."
As I hang his coat/blanket (one of many) on the coat hanger next to ours.

"He's not your kid."
As I pick up all his toys and place them back on his bed for him to through them everywhere as soon as he waks up from his nap.

"He's not your kid."
As I take him out yet again to play and run in the snow while my fingers are numb but he's only a puppy for so long.

"He's not your kid."

Yea, he's not my kid.

He's my heart. My world. My baby.

And for those who can't see the similarities between a puppy and a child and for those who really think a dog is really "just a dog," you must never have found your heart dog and I pray one day, you do.

Thrown Away for Itching: Mia’s Last Days

"She Gave Them Everything. They Gave Her a Death Sentence."

Mia gave her humans five loyal years, but when her skin itched too much, they decided she was disposable. Now she waits, heartbroken and starving, counting down her final days on death row. This is what betrayal looks like. But it doesn’t have to end this way.

Mia lies in a tight, miserable curl on the hard concrete of the shelter floor. Her once-proud German Shepherd frame is painfully thin, her eyes wide and glassy with confusion and hurt. The sterile, harshly lit room is unforgiving, casting sharp shadows that make the walls close in. Every inch of her body language screams fear, resignation, and a desperate plea for someone — anyone — to see her worth before it’s too late.
