As a company we will continually strive to design and build gear needed for pets and working dogs alike that allows our four-legged friends to accompany us in life’s endeavors, all while providing safety and comfort when we leave our homes with or without our companions. We will not however, create gear that can be seen as offensive in any manner, and will educate such client and try to work out a way to create their dream gear but in a way to not offend or for their own safety. Because we specialize in working dogs– we create vests and harnesses for psychological and mobility needs, as well as hands-free adjustable leashes, collars, leash wraps, handles, pouches and more – We utilize fabrics, hardware, materials and construction processes that have been proven in home and working environments to be safe, and have even have gone as far as having orthopedic vets review and endorse our gear. At the end of the day, we believe it is the amazing connection we have with our companions, and their ability to help those in need to feel independent and those at home to have the ability to explore the world with their friend, that makes all the hard work worth the it and to help give those that need a form of independents back. Now that we are finally back up and running we are working feverishly to catch up. Once we are done with all September orders and half way October, we will be making Pre-Mades available again.

We are waiting as to be fair to everyone that has been patient enough to bear with us during our move.

When we do re-open our Premades we will be bringing back a modified version of an older favorite to kick it off with a bang.

While unpacking Pupcessories my husband severely cut his hand, cutting through a major tendon and other important parts of his hand resulting in surgery. We got him to the hospital at 5am this morning and surgery should be around 7:15am. As far as jobs go, although we are a week behind anticipated due to this injury, we are now up and running and I am in the seat sewing and embroidery in the works. Today might be a bit of a wash, but if we have to work weekends to make up time we will. Thank you all for your patience and support!

Just an update with some added asked questions that have come to us in the last few days due to a blacklisting that occurred. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out. It’s been made very clear that us and several other shops are being targeted for either political views in their personal lives, made something at some point that offended someone or said something at some point that offended someone. We would like to elaborate that every involvement that we have had to get a lawyer involved has been individuals on said blacklist page. This is why you no longer see them on that page anymore or possibly, no longer around. We have always tried to be fair and so far have settled out of court each time but if it comes to it and we have proven loss of sales that warrants going to court we will do it. And recover said court costs with the damages being brought to the table against said individual(s) that are causing loss of sales due to slander and defamation of character.

A Critical Perspective on Service Dog Advocacy

I’d like to share some observations about the service dog community's online presence, which, while varying by platform, reveals a concerning trend. There’s a noticeable pattern of handlers leveraging their platforms not for constructive dialogue, but rather for personal validation, amassing views and followers through drama and controversy. After all, who doesn’t love a little intrigue, right?

Many individuals in this space take on the role of self-appointed vigilantes, believing they are serving the community by calling out specific users or small businesses that fail to align with their own perspectives. Ironically, these are often the same folks who passionately shout for change—pleading for more regulations to protect service dogs and their handlers. They lament negative experiences in public but seem to overlook the very real impact of their own actions on our community.

What’s puzzling is how these individuals find the time to engage in behavior that ultimately detracts from the goals they claim to champion. Instead of focusing on meaningful change, they dedicate hours to scrutinizing popular users and businesses online, searching for any morsel of information they can manipulate into a narrative that tarnishes another's reputation. This obsession with monitoring social media accounts and digging through countless images and posts for potential fodder seems counterproductive at best.

If these individuals genuinely wish to foster change for disabled individuals and service dog handlers, there are far more impactful avenues available to them. For instance, we actively participate in two local organizations (who we will not name for protection) dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities through education and consumer advocacy. These initiatives ensure that everyone, regardless of their circumstances, can lead the life they choose. Rather than perpetuating toxicity, we strive to dismantle the barriers that prevent full inclusion in our communities.

We also engage in advocacy work, writing letters to local legislators about necessary changes for the disabled community and enhancing awareness around service dog protocols. We educate both medical and non-medical professionals on how to better support individuals with disabilities. What do you contribute during your time online?

Moreover, we've had the privilege of representing service dog handlers at significant events, such as the National ADA Conference and the Mayor’s Council for Service Dog Awareness Month. Our involvement stems from our proactive approach to community engagement. So, I challenge you: what are you doing to uplift and support our community? Is it really productive to create lists and witch hunts online? If you dislike a person or business, why not simply disengage instead of causing unnecessary harm?

This morning, I attended a webinar hosted by esteemed institutions discussing service animals beyond the common questions—a productive use of time, wouldn’t you agree? Once again, I ask those advocating for change: what are you doing aside from posting inflammatory content online?

Additionally, I must highlight the serious consequences of participating in defamation and slander online. The infamous blacklist pages have publicly targeted us multiple times, resulting in lawsuits over proven character defamation and the tangible loss of business. While sharing negative experiences can be valid, when it crosses into personal attacks, it becomes dangerously reckless.

It’s disheartening to witness individuals waste their intelligence fabricating lies, and, regrettably, some have learned costly lessons about the repercussions of their actions. Yes, as an established business we have a retained lawyer and yes, we have used them against users on this very blacklist page. They now no longer exist or are out of the group and due to what was agreed upon due to the costly consequences, cannot speak of the settling nature. It is crucial to reflect on who you associate with, where you invest your time (aside from training your service dog), and the legal implications your words can carry.

In conclusion, I urge you to reconsider your approach. If you truly wish to effect change, direct your energy toward your local community and seek out collaborative opportunities that foster genuine progress—not just performative activism. Surround yourself with those who aspire to inspire true change. Even with my disabilities and currently fighting cancer, I still don’t use it as an excuse to belittle anyone or slander or defame them.

As I get back to my project with a local organization assisting individuals with visual impairments and the Blind, I leave you with this thought: how do you want to be remembered in your representation of the service dog and disabled communities?

Addressing Hurtful Drama & Blacklisting

Dear Valued Customers,

We would like to take a moment to address a recent situation involving feedback from a former client. It has come to our attention that this individual has publicly raised concerns regarding their experience with our company, which took place three and a half years ago. We are truly grateful for the support we have received from many of you during this time. It is heartening to see the loyalty and trust that our products have inspired among our customers.

Like any business, we acknowledge that mistakes can occasionally occur, and it is important to recognize that not every interaction will result in complete satisfaction. Over the past eight years, we have maintained a strong record of positive experiences, and we strive to resolve issues collaboratively whenever they arise. While it is unfortunate that we were unable to reach an agreement in this case, we remain committed to learning and improving from all feedback.

We would like to emphasize our commitment to understanding and addressing the unique needs of individuals with physical and psychological disabilities. As individuals with disabilities ourselves, we appreciate the importance of sensitivity in our interactions as much as possible. Nevertheless, we must maintain a zero-tolerance policy regarding harassment, bullying, or any form of aggressive communication, regardless of the circumstances.

We recognize that our personalities may not always align with those of every client. To ensure effective communication and support, Andrew now primarily manages customer service interactions and will have Amber step in when Andrew feels unable to adequately address a client's needs. Both, having our specialties, strengths and weaknesses. For those who know us personally, it would be evident that we genuinely care about everyone we serve. We strive to accommodate the specific needs of clients and their dogs while providing safe, durable gear.

We also have been made aware that very old accusations are even being brought up because of this disgruntled client that we could not come to common grounds with, so we are going to navigate through those here.

Clarification Regarding Orthopedic Endorsement:

We would like to address the ongoing accusations regarding our orthopedic endorsement. This matter has been previously resolved several years ago on another platform dedicated to discussing similar concerns. At that time, we provided the necessary clarifications and corrections, which were verified by the administrators and various community members who reached out for confirmation. Those screens shots and proof are still available for those to easily find. As a result of our proactive communication, we were able to demonstrate that we are, in fact, endorsed. Consequently, when these unfounded accusations arise, they are promptly removed upon presentation of the relevant documentation that substantiates our endorsement on other pages when this is brought up.

Clarification Regarding the So-Called Blue Lives Matter vs. Blue line Flag Vest:

We would like to address a matter that has generated some sensitivity and concern regarding our previous posting of a therapy dog vest made to match its officer’s uniform. Considering the events surrounding George Floyd at the time, we recognized that the timing of our post had been inappropriate, and we apologized and acknowledged the need for careful consideration in such contexts. To clarify, we do not, and will not, discriminate against individuals based on their profession when it comes to providing necessary gear. The vest in question was designed specifically as a therapy dog vest, intended to match the officer's uniform. Its purpose was to provide comfort to children testifying in court against their abusers, thereby serving a vital role in supporting these vulnerable individuals.

It is important to emphasize that this vest was not intended as a statement or representation of the "Blue Lives Matter" movement, as has been misinterpreted. We strive to uphold the integrity of our mission and remain committed to assisting those in need without prejudice.

Clarification on Personal Expression:

On this blacklist post, a personal photograph of Amber surfaced, depicting her in a shirt featuring a political figure while holding her friend's firearm. We would like to take a moment to address this situation. As Americans, we are entitled to express ourselves and make personal choices in our lives and on our own “PERSONAL” social media platforms. Afterall, isn’t that what social media is for… personal expression? It is perfectly acceptable for individuals to have differing opinions on these matters. Furthermore, if some choose to support or avoid businesses based solely on political affiliations, that is within their rights as consumers. However, it may be enlightening to consider the diversity of opinions among voters, including those whose choices may not align with your own, or those who chose not to vote at all.

We invite you to reflect on how it would feel if we declined service based on your voting preferences. It is likely that you would find such an approach unreasonable. In navigating these complex discussions, it appears we face a no-win situation: we are criticized for our choices regardless of the path we take.

Concerns Regarding the Blacklist Page:

It has become blatantly clear that this blacklist page has become a platform for unfounded accusations and encourages hate against individuals within our community. Many posts appear to be based on hearsay rather than substantiated evidence, with individuals often making claims about those they have never engaged with or had any direct interaction. Or even one sided without the other able to defend themselves. We wish to encourage those involved in these discussions to reflect on their motivations. Are they participating for entertainment and drama, or are they genuinely seeking to understand the underlying issues at hand?

Most of our clientele is not sourced from traditional online communities; rather, we rely heavily on word-of-mouth referrals and organic search inquiries. This is why you may notice our limited presence in widespread advertising. While it is understandable that people may express concern regarding the toxicity of certain discussions, it is disheartening to see many partake in the very drama they critique, only to feel aggrieved when they themselves become targets of the same accusations.

We feel that creating a page solely with the intent to harm others through dramatic unfounded accusations and lies is highly irresponsible and the ones running the page should be ashamed to take part in creating so much pain to those who become the focal point in each post started solely to hurt them.

Commitment to Client Satisfaction

We would like to take this opportunity to reaffirm our unwavering commitment to meeting the needs of our clients with disabilities. Our goal has always been to provide high-quality products that stand the test of time. While we recognize that we cannot please everyone, we sincerely apologize to the client in question for their ongoing dissatisfaction, which has been expressed over the past three to four years. We strive to create a positive experience for all our clients, and it is disheartening to hear that this individual still feels the need to share negative feedback, especially when most of our clients have had positive experiences.

We are dedicated to addressing any issues that arise and making amends wherever possible. However, in this situation, it became apparent that despite our best efforts, our communications were perceived as aggressive or dismissive. Given this, we believe it was in the best interest of both parties to part ways, as it seems that our intentions were consistently misinterpreted.

We appreciate your engagement and are here to address any concerns or questions you may have, provided they are respectful and constructive. It is important to us that we do not engage in or contribute to any unnecessary drama within our community.

As a business dedicated to our mission of providing unique, safe, and inclusive gear for individuals with disabilities worldwide, we take our responsibilities seriously. We are committed to serving all customers who have a legal service animal, regardless of their background, orientation, race, occupation, or political beliefs. We stand behind our policy of “NO DISCRIMINATION” no matter how much certain groups may try to force us to take sides. The way we see it, there are no sides, just individuals each with their own unique personality they are entitled to have and express as they see fit. We will not empower any group to threaten anyone’s individual freedom to be who they are.

If you choose not to purchase from us due to a past decision regarding an item created over three years ago when we first introduced embroidery, we respect your right to make that choice. We acknowledge that the context has changed since then, as we continuously strive to learn and grow as a company.

This will be our final statement on this matter. We will not engage in any witch hunts or attempts to justify ourselves through screenshots, as the information is publicly accessible for those interested.

Im writing to share my recent experience with a local news station that conducted an interview with me, as a prominent social media influencer on TikTok. Unfortunately, the final portrayal of our conversation was skewed to fit a negative narrative, which I believe underscores a broader issue regarding media representation and the importance of critically evaluating what we consume from various outlets.

In light of the backlash that has arisen on social media after said interview, I feel it is essential to present the unedited version of the interview, where the full questions and my complete answers are available for viewing. Despite my request for the removal of the edited interview, the news station declined but offered to modify the video description to provide additional context. However, this measure falls short, as many viewers seldom read descriptions, potentially perpetuating misunderstandings about my message and intentions.

It is crucial to emphasize that TikTok is not my sole source of income; rather, it serves as a supplementary platform that occasionally aids in covering expenses such as medical appointments and necessary medication.

My primary objective in creating TikTok content is to educate audiences about service dogs, diverse disabilities, and the lived experiences of individuals requiring these invaluable companions.

Additionally, I use my platform to raise funds for other disabled individuals aspiring to obtain trained service dogs tailored to their specific needs, including veterans, individuals with epilepsy, diabetes, autism, and more. The impact of TikTok on my life and the lives of other influencers in the disability community cannot be overstated; it has enabled us to advocate for change and make a positive difference. Regrettably, the emphasis during the interview was placed on hypothetical financial losses rather than the profound mission that drives our initiatives.

Moreover, it is important to note that many influencers, including myself, utilize promotional opportunities provided by TikTok to generate commissions, which we often reinvest into our communities. This support can be crucial for those who are legally disabled like myself and face financial hardships, helping them secure essential items like diapers, formula, or food for their service animals.

I want to clarify that should TikTok gets banned, my husband and I will continue to thrive through our successful business that serves the global service dog community. We also provide basic and advanced dog training, drawing upon my certification and over a decade of experience in dog training.

Ultimately, I urge everyone to approach news stories with a healthy dose of skepticism. Media outlets often shape narratives to fit their agendas, which can distort the truth and misrepresent the individuals involved. It is vital that we remain vigilant consumers of information and recognize that our stories deserve to be told accurately and respectfully.

Improving media literacy and ensuring fair reporting, especially on sensitive topics, is crucial for news outlets. News organizations should invest in ongoing training for journalists on topics related to media ethics, representation, and sensitivity towards marginalized communities. This includes understanding the implications of language and imagery used in reporting, which is what happened in this situation.

Outlets should be transparent about their sources and editorial processes. Including disclaimers about potential conflicts of interest and acknowledging the limitations of coverage can build trust with audiences. When reporting on sensitive issues, it’s important to provide context that allows audiences to understand the complexities involved. This could include historical background, statistics, and expert opinions.

We are still working on customer service, taking orders and providing digitals, but actual production will not start once again until the 20th of January.
