Back in Australia for a few days and the first thing I see this morning is an Australian water dragon in downtown Sydney! This trip has been fantastic so far, can’t wait to come back soon.

Ivana B. White is an opportunist of the highest order. She noticed we had stirred up the dirt looking for pearls and decided it was that time for her too. Totally forgot about that when coming back from work and thought she had dropped her tail.

New additions to the gang….and it’s not more geckos 😆

Picked up a pair of bettas as a distraction because yesterday was rough, mentally speaking. There’s something about setting up a fish tank and waiting for it to cycle that soothes me. It’s similar to getting an enclosure ready for a new gecko. Now to pick some names for these koi bettas….

A couple of beautiful LW babies to wake up to? YES, PLEASE!!!! Took some time to hit the genetic lotto with this group but we finally accomplished our goal. Our first Lillies from the Chocolate Orange project!!!!!

The pairings were a charcoal LW, Carbon Copy (produced by Limited Edition Geckos), with our tangerine soft scale het empty back ladies Gojo and Darlin’ Clementine (produced by us) in the hopes of producing some funky stuff. While we love the looks (and genetic punch) of these 2, that’s not our end goal. Our hope is to see a phantom charcoal with tangerine accents…..and we aren’t stopping there!

Julius L’orange wasn’t happy about the paparazzo in his face. He’s actually a few shades darker now, of course, but in hiding. Never fails 🤦🏽‍♂️

He’s been paired with Jessica Rabbit in the hopes of stacking the phantom gene. Also interested to see what impact the LW gene has on his furry trait. Anything that comes out should be very interesting to watch progress.

Does anyone ever regret getting rid of young geckos too soon? Ninja and Yolandi have been paired for 2 seasons (3rd this year) and I never held back any of their offspring, mostly because I don’t have a dedicated dalmatian project. These 4 babies are the only ones I kept back and now I kinda want to kick myself!

First pic shows the youngest clutch (5 months), next 2 pics show the older clutch mates (8 months) and they keep getting more and more spots. Interested to see if pairing an olive patternless dalmatian with a yellow tiger ink spot dalmatian actually makes a super dal.

This is why I love Uroplatus! Took me 5 minutes to find the gecko that was directly in front of me. Super dark and basking under the UVB.

Seriously can’t believe that we will be going to New Caledonia!!! November can’t get here fast enough! If you would’ve told me 19 years ago that I would get to visit the island where most of my favorite geckos come from, I would’ve called you a liar. Australia is going to be awesome in its own right, obviously. Hopefully that doesn’t start a different gecko addiction 🤣 Time to start making plans for Madagascar in the future maybe 🤔

There’s some snake plants, wandering jew, and a bromeliad along with some neat driftwood and cork bark. For CUC, there’s dwarf white, Costa Rican purple and powder orange isopods. Might also be a Lilly White crestie hiding inside since they are always on the good list….

A project I’ve wanted to do for over 17 years finally came true this year and we’ve already had some success!!! If all goes well, we’ll be offering captive bred Uroplatus sikorae in 2022. There’s already something incubating so stay tuned. We may even go nuts and expand into more Uroplatus species…….🤷🏽‍♂️🤪🦎🔧
